Re: Which platform of choice would you be playing Yooka-Laylee?

Woolly World also doesn't come out in the US until October which is absolutely baffling to me. Also baffled. If I'd been following the game more closely, I might have had some idea, but alas, I am clueless. The one thing I know is that NOE usually localize games first, then NOA. That could account ...

Re: Which platform of choice would you be playing Yooka-Laylee?

(Taylor can move this post with the rest of them) I rang 5 local(ish) supermarkets today to try and get hold of a copy of Yoshis Wooly World and 4 out of 5 of them didn't stock wiiu games and the one that did said they had a very small limited amount of Wii u games, Yoshi wasn't one of them. So i h...

Re: Which platform of choice would you be playing Yooka-Laylee?

Chainmail kid are you a Nintendo employee? Why are you getting pissed off that some people have a different opinion/prediction to yourself? If I WAS a Nintendo employee, then you'd be very foolish to disagree with me. :p I like getting into speculations and discussions. If I'm getting upset, its be...

Re: Which platform of choice would you be playing Yooka-Laylee?

You're missing the forest for the trees. Don't discount the possibility of Zelda being delayed to the NX. It's far from impossible. I would say a release on either console is close to equally likely at this point. True, But I'm sick of people talking and acting as if its the obvious conclusion, the...

Re: Which platform of choice would you be playing Yooka-Laylee?

It's really not too far though, especially not in this industry. 2 year delays aren't even bad anymore. Kingdom Hearts 3 is currently 10 years in the making. Final Fantasy 15 is going to have over 10 years of development time before release. The Last Guardian was delayed 10 years. Of course Duke Nu...

Re: Which platform of choice would you be playing Yooka-Laylee?

Nintendo sure did delay the hell out of what eventually became Twilight Princess. - They announced a new Zelda was in the works for Gamecube in 2003 (intended to be Wind Waker 2). - They changed gears to appeal to Western audiences and E3 2004 they had a demo showing realistic horseback riding. Ant...

Re: Which platform of choice would you be playing Yooka-Laylee?

I do doubt the Zelda game will even make it to wiiu. How are you reaching these conclusions? Why would you even think that? I'm bewildered. I'm not alone in thinking it. So you think it because thats what others are thinking? I don't disagree that its not an uncommon viewpoint, that doesn't help it...

Re: Which platform of choice would you be playing Yooka-Laylee?

It was Always going to be wiiu for me until the e3 just gone. Nintendo are obviously cutting their losses and abandoning the wiiu so I think I'll get it on a console with more longevity like the xb1. What brought you to that conclusion? That makes zero sense to me. Which part didn't make sense? How...

Re: Why Yooka-Laylee amiibo is a realistic possibility...

Amiibo unlock exclusive content like missions, harder AI opponents, or new game modes. What you're describing is a figurine, which an Amiibo is a subset of. Throwaway content. Its really dumb to say no to something that all of us can have because you can't tolerate somebody else being able to have ...

Re: Why Yooka-Laylee amiibo is a realistic possibility...

Won't non Wii U users be mad? Like when Wii U fans never got anything extra in Shovel Knight. Of course not. Amiibos is probably the best exclusive option possible for people who don't own wii Us. The best way to get stabbed is after taking enough painkillers that it won't hurt, but even if I'm num...

Make it so that in order to register, you have to find all the hidden objects spread throughout the forum. I dont think that is even possible, I looked into it when I made a forum to test the admin control panel Im sure its possible, maybe not with this forum software or host or whatever. But, it r...

Re: Proper voices as a stretch goal

So for the 10 or so people (who pledged money for the Kickstarter) who will voice a character in the game, how will go about being trained by Chris Sutherland? Will it be via internet connection or will we have to personally fly over to the UK to be trained by Chris? Anyone know? I pledged over $5,...

Re: Should Laylee be able to transform into a Transylvanian?

Bats can't transform into vampires outside of fiction; it's not a natural ability. I think it'd be too odd and doesn't offer enough unique abilities. For example, blood sucking could be achieved without transforming into a vampire -- some bats do drink blood in the real world. But They also have ex...

Should Laylee be able to transform into a Transylvanian?

Transformations are a key part of what makes B&K games so zany and wacky.

Playtonic mentioned choosing a bat and a chameleon for their natural abilities that would translate into gameplay. I think this has the potential to fulfill those requirements.
