Re: Ideas for Yooka-Laylee DLC

My figure was not a total, though. It's not incredibly much if a game is 1/7 dlc. However, if a single dlc has the size of 1 sixth of the original game (as would be the case with a single level) that sounds a lot. Give us two dlc worlds and the dlc is already 1/3 the size of the main game (and I'm g...

Re: Ideas for Yooka-Laylee DLC

To be honest, I think you guys are getting your hopes too high talking about additional worlds. Not that I wouldn't also like that, but roughly 1/7 of the game being dlc? One single dlc? Well, maybe if that had been introduced as the concept from the start (as in e.g. Lego Dimensions). Considering t...

Re: Kind of surprised about fans reaction.

My issue isn't the size. My issue is how much they bloated things. The game has a number of characters that, in comparison, would support maybe 2 or 3 levels in BK, but not 5. The same goes for the visual variety in environments. So, I understand why they wouldn't want to do a micro-Banjo with the s...

Re: Yooka-Laylee: Out Now!

I understand "open" to mean 2 things: 1: Everything in YL is basically one huge room, whereas BK and BT would divide worlds into many more smaller rooms, making them easier to digest. 2: Some worlds in YL have the same look and feel everywhere, whereas BK and BT would divide worlds into ma...

Re: "Spit 'n' Polish" website update (improvements coming, Switch version definitive version?)

Good to know they are listening to us here on the forums. Just a shame I've already 100%ed the game and have no need to return to it. So you don't ever want to try playing it a different way to see how it changes the difficulty? For example if you played the game the first time by expanding levels ...

Re: Potential missable pagie? (Cashino boss fight?)

No, only the people at PTG. I'm really anxious to see if this update is going to fix my 144/145 pagies save haha Tbh, I don't think so. I think that after the update, the glitch just won't occur anymore. I agree. It's probably technically possible to re-calculate how many Pagies you should have, bu...

Re: Clive N' Wrench Get A Makeover

Looked into this a bit more, and wow, I think it looks amazing. To be honest, I wonder whether people shouted "knockoff" at Jak & Dexter or Ratchet & Clank in the past. Because those two games certainly use the same duo dynamic Banjo-Kazooie uses, and I don't recall them being hate...

Re: captial cashino token glitch

They're just referencing a casino bug at that link, aren't they? This could also refer to the Hamalot chopper glitch. They said on Twitter that the CC coin glitch will be patched in the next update. Do you have a link for that? My point was that the tweet linked above doesn't specify which of the 2...

Here's another idea: A lab. With shrink ray, mad scientists, lasers, robots, teleporters, animals (for science!), toxic substances, anti gravity, doomsday weapons, a nuclear plant, clones, mutants, rockets, and so on...

Yes, BK, BT and DK64 all did this. It's actually a common complaint from what I see.

Re: Completed without walkthrought?

It is my opinion that anybody saying they completed this game 100% without online help, is lying. Hum... It's not impossible. At the very least, the Hunter Tonic faciliates the task quite a bit. The only thing that I think is unfairly hidden is the Hivory Towers lobby extender, because there's no h...

Re: Completed without walkthrought?

I looked up where the whistling in Hivory Tower's entrance came from and don't at all regret doing so, as there's not even the slightest hint (beyond the whistling) on what you need to do there. I also read where my last casino token was hidden here on the forums. Finally I looked up the energy exte...

Re: toybox secret (spoilers)

I kinda assumed that the robot "loading the exposition" meant as much as "we're still working on this, check after the update.". After all, that's how it went with the 64 bit tonic.

Re: Ideas for Yooka-Laylee DLC

Quick answers to some of last post's questions:
The book appears to be world 1.
What you say about the ghost writers is how I felt about Trowzer, who did barely more than sell stuff.
Blasto is a Banjo reference, with the red bird and Blastooie, and I think that's all he's supposed to be.

Re: Character Voices

Shouldn't trowzer be hissing instead of saying "myar myar myar"? Shouldn't the duck be quacking? Shouldn't capital be be buzzing? Shouldn't quills be making a scribbling pen sound? Shouldn't pagies be making either a golden sparkly noise or alternatively a noise resembling paper? No is th...

Re: Character Voices

It's a matter of preference. Personally, I enjoy Yooka's voice and Capital B's, while Scoffsalot's mix of grunts and barfs really isn't to my liking. However, I wouldn't ever claim it's bad only because it doesn't suit my personal preference. It's simply too subjective a thing to complain about, and...

Re: Playtonic's next project

Isn't Donkey Kong 64 just Banjo-Kazooie with more collectables? ...Well, I guess not exactly, since you can switch between characters... One major difference is that DK64 often has you do the same thing over and over for every kong, as you can't collect bananas, banana balloons, coins, blueprints o...
