I've figured it out. (Nuts & Bolts Spoilers)

Nobody likes platformers? We’ll see about that,
I’ll make a game about a lizard and a bat!

Re: Laylee's Nose to big?

If Laylee's nose was smaller, or if Yooka wore clothes, there would be no reason to poke fun at the main characters, and no chance for some self-deprecating humour, which is what Rare and Playtonic are very good at, as shown in Banjo and Conker, and in many of Playtonic's tweets and news updates. Th...

Re: Not quite Playtonic, but Banjo N&B anyone?

Ha ha, yes, the worlds are huge and wide open (save for the annoying number of props), so exploring worlds can take a while, but it feels very rewarding to find notes or a new challenge after a power run! like I said, this method may not be for everyone, but it's worth a try. That said, I absolutely...

Re: Not quite Playtonic, but Banjo N&B anyone?

I like Nuts and Bolts, but I hate the vehicles. Thanks to its loose physics engine, I struggle to navigate vehicles efficiently and they usually end up bumping into things and falling onto their side thanks to how high the default wheels are. Very frustrating. :x To compensate, I play Nuts and Bolts...

Re: A new 3D platformer kickstarter: FreezeME

you are spot on about the character very poor choice but as this is one guy i let that slide, the freezing of objects is genius Made by one person? Yes, a solo effort for a 3D platformer is very impressive. But there was also one person who made Dust: An Elysian Tail, and that game, aside from bein...

Re: A new 3D platformer kickstarter: FreezeME

I've seen a bit of FreezeME. It looks alright and I love how colourful it is, but I'm not too fond of the main character, she looks very generic and uninspired and so does the rest of the game for that matter. The ground movement and jumping looks stiff and the main 'twist'; freezing various things ...

Re: List of true open-world 3D Jump 'n' Runs

Very good! Reviews like that are a nice addition to this thread. It helps to sort the wheat from the chaff. No worries! Reviews take a while for me to write, so I don't think I'll do them all the time, but I was enthusiastic about Duck Dodgers, so I had to write about it and get the word out. I was...

Gaming Respawn: A look at Every 3D Platformer ever made

Just a heads up, This crazy journalist from Gaming Respawn is creating a list reviewing every single 3D platformer ever made by anyone ever, from 0 to z. It's a work in progress, mind, so I'd bookmark it or something and check back every now and then. If you're looking for substitutes until Yooka-La...

Re: List of true open-world 3D Jump 'n' Runs

Oi allo there! My first post! My all time favourite games include Zelda: OOT, Ratchet and Clank series, Uncharted series and of course Banjo Kazooie/Tooie (and most other Rare games). To the topic at hand, I thought I'd register so I can help out a bit? I'm new here so lemme know if I mess up or any...
