Re: Fan Art!

Thanks, Meinhardi. I think I've spent more time making custom Yoshis than I have playing the actual levels . But it's good to fill in the time waiting for Yooka-Laylee to release by playing my game with a Yooka (or Banjo) Yoshi, keeps me reminded of and excited for Yooka-Laylee. :)

Re: WHY can't Playtonic Games explain why they can't announce a Switch date?

Why can't people understand that they don't need it for the switch? But like I said, don't listen to me, just blindly support a corporate company because you love them that much. Oh so you're the "Anyone who doesn't agree with me is an unthinking sheeple" type. Who ever would have predict...

Re: Fan Art!

Don't know if these strictly count as fan art, but I've been having a lot of fun with the Custom Yoshi Creator feature in the new 3DS game "Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World", so I've made some Playtonic and Rare character Yoshis. Yooka: http://imageshack.com/a/img922/8453/4VZnmr.png Banjo: ...

Re: Difficulty level in Yooka-Laylee

as if it's just puzzles you'll get the classic 'this game is too short, downvote lolz', from all those silly sausages who followed a walkthrough. I honestly don't understand people who buy a game only to then follow a walk through, because surely the fun is in discovering and working things out for...

Re: Not very happy

Negative people like Exaskryz (and sometimes; me) still like the game and everything surrounding it, but they/we are just bummed out by all the negative news lately. That's how you have to look at it. :) That's understandable! As I think not even the biggest Playtonic fan could honestly say Playton...

Re: Not very happy

I specifically said that Playtonic as a small company can't compete with big online retailers like Amazon. And I didn't think it needed to be pointed out that the extra money raised for the Kickstarter was to be put towards making the game better than they planned it. There's a whole other thread wh...

Re: Not very happy

That's what I'm referring too. The price for upgrading to physical is absurd. Example: Digital backer: $15 + Physical upgrade: $20,- = Total: $35,- Amazon: http://amzn.eu/dMRudat ($29,-) So people who've helped creating the game by backing it, have to pay MORE than regular buyers. That's just insan...

Re: Not very happy

When you talk about whiny brats you are only talking about yourself, kid. Your post is pure salt. Too damn right I expect not to have to pay £20 to upgrade to a physical copy, that's way over priced, backer or no backer. And no, backers do not deserve that slap in the face of a £20 upgrade. There's...

Re: Not very happy

+£20 is an absolute joke and shows huge disrespect to those backers - it should have been free. These are the people who have funded your project, Playtonic. No, expecting it to be free is YOU being disrespectful and entitled! I can't believe you'd even have the cheek to think that! ...

Re: Nintendo Switch or Steam?

Also think about the likely costs of the game. At the moment, both versions cost the same for you (with the only difference being you get a Toybox code if you choose Steam). But your country sounds like mine in that consoles and games are expensive, so the retail Switch (digital) version will probab...

Re: Marketing/Merch Wishlist

Thanks Rasmusic, LittleGreen, and WyvernWings, glad you liked it :D. Unfortunately I could only use a maximum of 7 colours so I had to use Yooka's orange for Laylee's ears instead of a light pink colour :(. I just got the game yesterday and have so far spent more time playing with the Yoshi editor t...

Used the new design a Yoshi feature of the 3DS game "Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World" to make a Yooka Yoshi which I'll be Streetpassing to other people to help spread the word about this great game. :)

Re: PSA: Backerkit Surveys have been Reopened

Does anyone know if I choose the EU region for my PSN code if I am in Australia? Another Australian posted about this in the Kickstarter comments, she said for anyone wondering which PS4 region to choose to look at the "License" column for your country in the chart in this link: http://ww...

I wonder if they will still be considered one of the most successful game Kickstarter campaigns now that it seems like they will be refunding a large portion of that money to Wii U backers?

Re: Not very happy

Why would there be an expiry date? Is that a thing? You've paid for it surely it shouldn't expire. I was wondering because where I live, stores that sell gift cards put expiry dates on the gift cards (even though you or the person who gave you the gift card have paid for it), and so I was wondering...

Re: If the Switch Version Comes Later...

Thanks for that info, Meinhardi. :) I was wondering because gift cards for most stores where I live expire after a certain period, and since I don't really use game download codes (I prefer buying a physical copy) I wasn't sure if they expired like gift cards do. And I got given a download code once...
