Re: Capital Ca$hino!

Only just got around to watching the new trailer, and I love the idea of this level! I work as a live events technician and a casino is one of the venues I work in often (it has a whole heap of different sized function rooms for events and conferences), so I can't wait to see the back of house "...

Re: Making the Switch

I'm the poll guy. ;) I think I'll wait a while until the dust settles, then I'll make another thread with a new poll. This new thread will focus on a slightly different topic regarding the Wii U cancellation, so it won't be a duplicate. Oh wow, don't know how I got that so wrong, sorry to you both....

Re: General Chat (& Random Thoughts)

Picking a favorite series is difficult for me, but TNG does have a slight edge over Voyager. The cast is a bit more balanced and it just has some of my favorite episodes. Yes Janeway, Seven, and the Doctor are great (and Tuvok, as well!), but I don't care for the rest of Voyagers cast as much. TNG'...

Re: Making the Switch

I'm certain nobody is getting the Switch for Yooka-Laylee. *Raises hand* Actually, that is the only reason I'm looking into getting one, now. In fact backing Yooka-Laylee was the sole reason I got a Wii U because I usually only get a new console when there is a new Zelda game for it and when it is ...

Re: Reminder that there are going to be over 73,000 names in the credits

Yellow makes people feel frustrated and angery Oh that's really interesting, was there a study or something that determined this? I always thought yellow was a happy colour that made people think of bright, cheerful things, so it would be interesting to hear how this was determined and if they foun...

Re: General Chat (& Random Thoughts)

Sounds like you'll miss Janeway, Robert Picardo, Seven of Nine and the crew. Pretty far into TNG, DS9 and Voyager but haven't actually seen any of them in their entirety, yet. Do you have a favorite Star Trek series? The I.T. Crowd ... haven't heard of it. May need to look into it eventually. I've ...

Re: Let's be real: Give us Stop N' Swop.

Not to mention there's still the question of whether or not to do it with, say, the Wii U, which is already out the door. If you don't do it for the Wii U and do it for every other console/platform at the time, it'll make Wii U owners feel left out. If they did somehow use the amiibo functionality ...

Re: NEW TRAILER - Gamescom 2016

Is this the trailer with Shoved Knight or the one before it? Tempted to watch this video, but I would rather not if it's the worst trailer Playtonic ever thought of. You'll be happy to know it's the second trailer, the one that showed more of the hub world. ;) Also for anyone planning to check it o...

Re: NEW TRAILER - Gamescom 2016

I was just playing on my Wii U and decided to check out the Nintendo eShop. On the main page is a banner saying "Coming soon to Wii U" so I selected that, and at the bottom of the list is the Gamescon 2016 Yooka-Laylee trailer! Was so good to see the trailer on the big TV screen and hear t...

Re: General Chat (& Random Thoughts)

Favorite TV Show? I a bit of a Trekkie (I like the Original Series, TNG, and Voyager). I absolutely love Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra. Big fan the American The Office. Ooh I've been watching Star Trek: Voyager over the last year and love it! I'm sad because I'm about to finish it ...

Re: Let's be real: Give us Stop N' Swop.

Of course it can be done on other platforms. But I just doubt Nintendo being at the same technological state right now, even if it isn't a big deal. In fact, that's the problem: They're refusing to offer features that are given on the competitors consoles. Maybe Nintendo Account will offer somethin...

Re: Shovel Knight in Yooka-Laylee

That's the thing though. Yooka Laylee isn't going on a shelf. Or.. is it now? I dunno to be honest. So, anyway, the people who will be getting this game are people who have learned about Yooka Laylee in a medium where quick research is easily done. But it'll show up in the Nintendo eshop and the eq...

Re: Shovel Knight in Yooka-Laylee

As someone who has never played Shoved Knight but did recognize the character and have my jaw drop in horror during the trailer reveal, the odds that people don't know Shoved Knight - who has been in a dozen and a half games - is pretty low. Yes but you are here on a Kickstarter-backed game's gamin...

Re: Shovel Knight in Yooka-Laylee

And for people who don't recognise him, I'm sure they will just think he's another normal Yooka-Laylee character as I don't think he looks out of place in the game. I only just found out from these boards that Sabreman is a character from another game that cameoed in Banjo-Tooie; as far as I was co...

Re: Shovel Knight in Yooka-Laylee

Shovel Knight is just kind of shoved in there. Yes! He shall be known as Shoved Knight. I do love the conviction and dedication that you are showing by keeping this up whenever you post about him anywhere on these boards. I haven't actually played Shovel Knight (although I did recognise the c...
