Toybox Box-Maze Camera Angles

Since Inept asked for feedback on the camera angles used in the box pushing maze in the Toybox, I thought it would make it a bit easier for Playtonic to see the feedback if it was compiled into one easy topic for them to look at, rather than having to search through all the long posts in the general...

Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

But while the duo are not mice, they walk as if they're still on ice, they take a while to sit and stop, not quite so bad if you hop- (All responses must be in some form of rhyme) I must concur, I felt this too. I thought I stopped, yet still I flew From platform edge into abyss. Their weightless m...

Re: Toybox: Others with motion sickness?

Could it maybe be because you're playing it on a computer screen which sits closer to you than if you were playing a console on a TV screen across the room? Because I had the same feeling at first before I plugged in a controller and sat back further from the computer to play, as I'm not used to pla...

Re: Toybox feedback & discussion thread (SPOILERS)

Laylee on the other hand is not so visually appealing. I hate hate the pig nose, it makes her look so awkward and out of place next to the more simple faced Yooka. Mostly, I just hate the nose. It is too big and ugly, and makes Laylee look like a dude, an ugly one at that. Please fix the nose. And ...

Re: Toybox camera

Not sure if this is the right place to put this but I was playing around with toybox and ran into the high platforms where different camera angles were being tested. In terms of the camera angles, I like the 3rd camera angle the best since parts of the maze are obscured and out of full view. Remind...

Re: Toybox camera

Also, any chance of being able to invert the x axis on the camera as well? Yes!!! I REAAAALLLLLLLY hope they add this option for the final game, because I'm barely into the Toybox+ and not really enjoying it because I keep turning the camera the wrong way to what I'm used to and it's SO frustrating.

Re: Toybox release date!

I expect before August 23rd. That's when Worms W.M.D. comes out, which features Yooka-Laylee worms. Oh I must have missed that, thanks for letting me know! I'm so doing a "Homer buys Marge a bowling ball" and buying that game for my partner for one of his birthday presents (although he li...

Re: What are the quintessential elements of a RARE game?

There was an ominous but humorous tone in Banjo-Kazooie, and we knew Banjo was trying to save his sister from a witch--we still know nothing about YL's plot and I don't expect that it will be quite as dark. A bit about the plot from the Kickstarter Update 36 (in case you missed it): Yooka and Layle...

Re: Commercials

There's one that I can vividly remember, I sometimes get the song stuck in my head when I think of it. My family still have an old VHS somewhere with Jurassic Park taped off the TV back in the '90s, where we paused the recording during commercial breaks to cut out all of the ads except for one - the...

Re: How will Wise and Burke music be used?

I thought maybe Wise will do all the music for the arcade machines, that Kirkhope would do the main music for the levels, and that Burke would help out with the character voices and sound effects.

Re: Quills: A (potential) problem...

I'm going for a more roguelike approach 8) All at once or back to 0 Actually loved it in BK. It makes the accomplishment of collecting everything much more challenging. I agree, I liked how you had to get all the notes without dying in Banjo-Kazooie because (although sometimes frustrating) it made ...

Re: Dr. Puzz and Dr. Quack

She does look great in the trailer. I was unsure on the design at first, but it all makes sense to me now. Playtonic never disappoint! I hope there's a small chance she accidentally turns Yooka and Laylee into something unintended like the washing machine in Banjo-Kazooie. Maybe she turns you into ...

Re: E3 trailer by Team17

Hello, name's Shannon and I hope you don't mind me barging into the conversation. I've been lurking this forum for about a year but this trailer has me so excited for this game that I had to create an account just to comment on it! It looks so good, and I love the humour! LOVE the bit at the end, es...
