Re: Kickstarter Pages Need Updating

Kickstarter doesn't actually let you update your campaign page once the campaign has completed, but I'm sure you were just looking for another venue to whine so you probably don't care too much about that.

Re: Making the Switch

But it's more polish. And they get to take more time to really take advantage of the hardware. If they had been trying to hold back for the Wii U version, and realized they went too far, they can now go back and really make a game that pushes the limits on hardware for all systems. Wouldn't that be...

Re: Making the Switch

I think it's obvious there were no technical limitations I don't think it's obvious at all, actually. Not only is the Wii-U the least powerful of the consoles the game was coming to, but it is also the only one using the powerpc cpu architecture. The PS4 and Xbox One both are x86, which is what PC ...

Re: Should the Toy-Box be made available me to all ks backers?

yeah open it up. I pledged for the toybox and got auto upgraded to the plus with the update the other day, so I'm all for other backers who didn't pledge for it getting a taste now.

Re: Making the Switch

Hey for what it's worth to the people still upset, consider the following: They said they would say more in January about the Switch version, presumably lining up with the Switch presentation Nintendo is putting out. I'm not suggesting this is like them cutting a deal as much as just an NDA situatio...

Re: As A Kickstarter

I have followed a lot of Kickstarters, contributed to just a few (Yooka and Shantae), and have helped run a campaign as well. I think the main thing is maintaining backer confidence that the project in on a path where it will eventually exist, and will more or less be the experience they originally ...

Re: Playtonic developing other external franchises and I.P?

So why would they then abandon making a sequel to a platformer with their own characters, to make one with characters that somebody else owns only for a big company to make the profits. Same reason any developers agree to make licensed games: $$$$$$$$$$$$$ Which would be going against everything pl...

Re: Audio Channel Fading

Definitely like what they showed of it a whole lot. I like that the music will get pretty different while keeping a common base and excited to hear the other channel fades in the game. EDIT: Is this a newer build of the game than any we have thus seen?! I think you may be right, the swimming certain...

Re: Can my laptop run this game?

as long as you don't have any over heating issues that some laptops tend to have, based on the specs required for the toybox demo I would say: probably. That being said we don't really know what specs the game will end up requiring, as it's still got a couple months in the oven as of yet.

Re: A Reminder About the Delay

Different reminder about how janky and unpolished some of the animations looked in those trailers. I'm happy to wait an extra couple of months for a more polished experience Really? I thought everything looked great. What is there looks really good, but especially in the Gamescom trailer there's st...

Re: Nintendo Switch support for Yooka Laylee?

I just switched from PS4 to Steam like 3 weeks ago, just find the backerkit survey and contact them asking to switch through that. You'll get a response in about a day.

Re: Who's played Shovel Knight?

snip. Some good stuff there, Shovel Knight's definitely a game that gets a lot of little things right, and is absolutely a labor of love. I think people just don't want to acknowledge that Playtonic are indie devs, and much closer to Yacht Club than they are Nintendo or Rare. I think that makes som...

Re: Yooka Laylee playable at EGX 2016!

Nah the hub world doesn't count. What's Shipwreck Creek? The Spiral Mountain equivalent, where you start the game. I'm not saying I think that the hub and shipwreck creek will be full individual levels, but I think they fit the bill of "more than" since you are exploring more than 5 world...

Re: Yooka Laylee playable at EGX 2016!

Since part of the game revolves around expanding levels with the Pagies, I believe each level you first enter will be very small at first, and collecting pagies will enlarge the level and might even reveal new sections that that each feel like its own individual level (The jungle-themed Tribalstack...

Re: Shovel Knight in Yooka-Laylee

Saying that people on the Internet say stupid things and that is amazes you isn't really an argument here. It doesn't add anything to the discussion at hand. If you would think a bit further it is just because we are so dedicated to the game we were promised that some people get mad at the idea the...
