Re: Unannounced Toybox update?

I'm pretty sure they'd have said something if they updated or patched the Toybox in any way, especially if it was to add support for previously unusable controller. That's a pretty major thing that I don't think would go unmentioned.

Re: Share Your Ideas for Animations! Idle, rolling, talking, and more!

I don't have any specific ideas, but I'm hoping for more goofy idle animations.

Tooie, DK64, and Conker had a wide variety of them. The "Laylee bites Yooka" animation we have is great, but there should definitely be a few more!

Pretty sure the punctuation has no specific meaning and you're just looking into it too much.

Re: Mystery of the Discord, leaks.

I mean, it's not like NDAs have never been broken. I'm sure there's an NDA, and I'm sure these rumors are fake, but I don't think the two have much to do with each other. They have been broken, yes. Given how many voice acting tier backers there are, it's not likely this one would be. There's only ...

Re: Mystery of the Discord, leaks.

Makes sense, although I can think of a scenario where the NDA signer doesn't really understand these kind of things and think like "Hey perhaps if I don't directly share info but do it in riddles this NDA isn't broken" Even if that were the case (pretty sure it's not, and some of the stuf...

Re: Mystery of the Discord, leaks.

Even if they are a voice acting-tier backer, so what? Voice actors are usually placed under non-disclosure agreements that are every bit as strict as the ones everyone else are under. I'd be surprised if they were allowed to share details of the character they're voicing, let alone the crap this guy...

Re: The plot of Yooka-Laylee as an allegory...?

Just because there hasn't been a specific thread doesn't mean it hasn't been discussed to death already. Because it has. It's been pointed out within the day the update detailing the story was first posted.

That aside, Playtonic themselves deny the story's connection to the Rare buyout.

Re: Yooka Laylee for NX?

I don't think they should put it on any additional consoles unless it's a port made after the game's initial release. While Playtonic and Comcept are completely different entities and I have far more faith in Playtonic than I ever did Comcept, Mighty No. 9 is a cautionary tale of what can go wrong w...

Re: Nuts and bolts 2.0.sans vehicles.

"Yooka-Laylee seems more like a Nuts & Bolts spiritual successor than a Banjo-Kazooie one because the first level has a similar color theme to N&B's and you jump through hoops" This makes no sense. Starting out in a grassy world and an objective where you pass through rings outweig...

Re: Less Hope For Yooka Laylee?

Playtonic is a tight-knit team of developers who know each other well, with a boatload of shared experience in the exact type of project they're making. MN9 was, what, one director from a couple of the Mega Man games on it? And that's it. The connection between MN9's development team and the origin...

Re: Less Hope For Yooka Laylee?

For every crowd-funding flop like Mighty No. 9 and the Ouya, there's a crowd-funding success like Shovel Knight and Undertale. Yooka-Laylee looks solid and I've heard nothing but good things about Bloodstained from the people who've played the demo. MN9's issues shouldn't have an effect on any other...

Edge Magazine also showed a knight character, so it's reasonable to assume that there could be a castle/medieval themed world.

Re: Potential in the organized creation of a 'Project Threeie' mod (or 'Project Threeie & Desist', perhaps)

As much as I love Banjo-Kazooie and its cast of characters, I'd rather keep things how they are.

I wanna see what these new characters and this new world has to offer.

Re: E3 trailer by Playtonic

Yooka's speaking voice appears to be really inconsistent with his in-game voice. One could say the same of Banjo's voice in Banjo-Tooie , and it wasn't too much disturbing, even though it was a clear departure from the previous game. His voice was definitely different in Banjo-Tooie, but both his s...

Re: Playstation Magazine Discussion

there appears to be a factory in the distance behind the pirate ship YL live in. Can't wait to read the article and see if there're any new words to learn from! I have a feeling the factory is the main hub while the ship is the starting area. Sorta like how Banjo-Kazooie had Spiral Mountain as the ...

Two new images (another screenshot of Capital B and Dr. Quack, and artwork of a quill with googly eyes).

Outside of that, I haven't heard anything. Won't link because posting EDGE content wasn't allowed, so I'm assuming it's the same case here.

Was there anything else about Yooka-Laylee in there, or was the artpage the extent of it?
