Re: Why I believe Diddy Kong Racing was better than Mario 64

When trying to form a persuasive argument, you could look at Aristotle's three rhetorical appeals : ethos (authority), pathos (emotion), and logos (logic). For your ethical argument , you should definitely emphasize that you have played both gamed extensively and recognize the value in both of them....

Re: Rare stepping up it's game

Actually, it's incorrect. It's = A contraction of "it is" (or "it has" when followed by a past participle). Its = Third person singular neuter possessive pronoun (similar to "his" or "her," but for items that have no gender). Its' = Nothing. This word does not...

Re: Idle Animations

Something that would be a nice touch to add in Yooka-Laylee, is that there are unique idle animations that only occur when in a specific themed world. For example: In the snow world, Yooka and Laylee would shivering because of the cold. Great idea! Snow world ⋅ Yooka puffs to watch his br...

Re: Suggestion: Make Yooka Female

Honestly, I was quite surprised to see that so many people want Yooka to be female and Laylee to be male. When I first saw the characters, I wasn't sure what their genders would be. The Kickstarter page answered that question and I haven't really thought about it since.

I really have to agree with Oceanity. Fonts do have personalities and unique effects and it would be nice to read a font that is meant for reading paragraphs.

Re: Rare stepping up it's game

John nailed it: Rare in the 90s had different teams working on different games and the Banjo Kazooie Camp's intense competition with the Conker Camp is what I think pushed both those franchises to the max. This was a huge aspect to the culture at Rare in the 90s. The two teams weren't even allowed ...

Re: DLC discussion

Not to mention the fact that the entire reason they left Rare and formed Playtonic was to do things their own way. I just read all 137 posts in this thread (for some reason), as well as the 13 posts in the facetious DLC thread , and my main thought is: I agree with the concerns about the DLC -- part...

Re: What kind of local 4-Player ya hoping for?

I have to third this.

At best, I'll be able to play this game's multiplayer once every few weeks. If there were an online multiplayer option, I could play it pretty much any time I wanted.

Re: Age of Fans?

Good idea with the poll. Yeah, it looks like most of us here grew up with Rare's games on the N64. I honestly had a few Rare games before even realizing it. I grew up playing a lot of Donkey Kong Country . Later, Donkey Kong 64 , GoldenEye 007 , Perfect Dark , Conker's Bad Fur Day , etc., before I k...

Re: What kind of local 4-Player ya hoping for?

The Donkey Kong 64 multiplayer never really captivated me. I remember playing it a few times, but it was never really that notable for me. Conker's Bad Fur Day 's multiplayer, however, is one of my favorite multiplayer games of all time. These modes were humorous, diverse, and unique. Really, the mo...

Re: Kameo - Elements of Power

I absolutely loved Kameo: Elements of Power . I bought an Xbox 360 at launch to play Kameo and that other game . ( :( ) I took my time with Kameo to explore every inch of it. What a beautiful game. Another guy and I played through all the multiplayer levels together to get the high scores. Then the ...

Re: Implementing additional features to this board

I've got a couple more ideas. The first one I think could be really useful. The latter two could be useful as well, though I doubt they'll be quite as popular. • Indenting text (Not just the first line, but the whole paragraph.) • Reply (Person A makes a post. Later, Person B wants to reply to the p...

Also, you really think it's fair that I don't get a reward that is worth the amount I pledge, because I couldn't pledge early enough? What kind of douche are you? Whoa, a little hostile there. Not hostile, genuine. The way you speak to people you aren't deserved of anything. What's that supposed to...
