Re: Refill backer rewards...

Also, you really think it's fair that I don't get a reward that is worth the amount I pledge, because I couldn't pledge early enough? What kind of douche are you? Whoa, a little hostile there. Besides, you're not entitled to anything. Neither am I, nor anybody else on this forum. A reward isn't a r...

Re: A New DKC Game by Playtonic

I kind of think no. I played through Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Wii a couple years ago, and I think Retro did a fantastic job. I don't have the appropriate hardware yet, but I'm looking forward to when I finally get a chance to play Tropical Freeze as well. Don't get me wrong: if this did ha...

Re: Implementing additional features to this board

I resoundingly agree with everything mentioned above! And if we had these features, I could "like" those posts rather than cluttering the thread with a new post. ;) I would like to see the following implemented: • "Liking" posts (and related notifications) • Tagging forum members...

Re: Req. for the game

I'm an inferior console gamer and I know diddly squat about computer specs, so my prediction on the minimum requirements is to buy a Wii U. You can upgrade your specs by buying an Xbox One or a PS4. :P On that note, whatever the specs (or equivalent thereof) are for a Wii U should be sufficient. I'm...

Re: Twelve Tails - Conker 64

I understand and respect your opinion, but I, personally, disagree. Whereas I would like to play Twelve Tales: Conker 64 as it was originally intended, I would much rather play Conker's Bad Fur Day . I see the appeal in having a cutesy, platforming, cartoon squirrel being cigar-toting, gun-blazing, ...

Re: what do you believe RARE is ready to announce? POLL

I'm pretty sure Activision currently owns the Bond license, unless that has changed in the past couple years.

So, it could be, but that would mean that Activision would be placing the next Bond game as an Xbox One exclusive, and I don't think that's very likely.

Re: Backstory for each characters

Maybe they were forced to become friends by accident. The wily Laylee was flapping around after accidentally dipping her feet into a tar pit on a hot summer's day. Irked, her volatile zig-zagging left her eager to land anywhere. She chose the nearest tree branch, which really turned out to be Yooka ...

Re: Mind-blow level

Your post couldn't be more vague. At first, I thought this thread would be about the kickstarter/stretch goals having reached a mind-blowing tier of achievement. On a second read-through, however, I think you're talking about mind-blow as a motif for one of the in-game worlds... whatever that means....

Congrats to the team!

Now to polish the game to the Nth degree. :D

Re: Just a thought, invoked by one of the comments on the kickstarter page (nostalgia)

Yeah, I also think that most of us are excited for the right reasons. I think we really have something to look forward to and that we will genuinely enjoy it. Most of us, anyways. I'm positive that nostalgia plays a role, but I think there's a lot more to it than just nostalgia. I know it's true for...

Great links, dotEXE!

I think all of the Banjo-Kazooie references together build up to evidence (but not proof), or at least plausibility. I still think a new IP is possible, but Banjo-Threeie seems quite possible.

Walkthrough + Commentary ≠ Documentary

I would love a behind-the-scenes/making-of/documentary, though!

Re: Any chance of an E3 showcase?

I'd like to echo that I'd rather they not spend the money on it, even if they can afford it. I'd rather they spend the money refining the game as much as possible.

But they don't have to be at E3 to do something during E3. ;)

Re: Arcademode

Personally, I really dislike arcade modes, time trials, and other forms of retrofitting arbitrary time limits into a game. It doesn't match my playstyle at all and brings me more anxiety than entertainment. Granted, that's purely personal and subjective. I suppose I might tinker with it a few times ...

Re: What have YOU pledged? POLL

I'm still deciding which reward I'll go for. I'll probably pledge £30 for the Digital Deluxe (digital game, soundtrack, manual, and artbook). I would absolutely LOVE to get the physical soundtrack and artbook, but I don't think I can swing the money. This is the first Kickstarter (or other crowdfund...
