Re: E3 trailer by Playtonic

Speaking of underwater parts, I still expect aquatic variant of the music themes.

Re: E3 trailer by Playtonic

It wouldn't matter for me if the team's choice was to be more secretive and not to reveal much of the game before final release. The less details I hear of now, the more surprises I'll get at play, and all things considered, weren't we used to this philosophy during Rare's Golden Age?

Re: E3 trailer by Team17

It's crazy how they scattered honeycomb shaped elements throughout the level design.
That, plus the iris shots, dialogue UI and SFX, make the whole bunch very familiar.
But for novelty, let's add some extra pants joke.

Doesn't it look that Yooka's got a mid-air jump ability while still airborne?

Re: What Nintendo 64 games should I get?

I just remember one N64 game I really had fun with : Mario Tennis.
Camelot Software did a fine job on this first entry, which featured lots of characters, courts and challenges. However, cheat codes didn't work on the PAL version, if I'm not mistaken.

Re: All interviews to date. [LAST UPDATE: 5th of June]

When I first heard Jungle World, I felt happy that we could have new music with the famous Banjo-Kazooie spirit. But all things considered, I don't actually want an OST with hundreds of cues that only sounds that way. Beware of reaching a pathogenic level of nostalgia.

Grunty's Furnace Fun > Tower of Tragedy Collecting individual notes > nests The framerate never drops in BK > sometimes in BT Also, too many kind of eggs in BT just blew my mind. To find out that spider webs in BK were to be blasted by eggs was enough for me. For all those reasons, I generally prefe...

Re: What have YOU pledged? POLL

Next to all eleven boxed N64 Rarewares, there's a place on my shelf for this 64-bit edition, for which I pledged roughly €500. A significant expence but when you love you don't count the cost, do you?

Re: unlock-able sound test to listen to music?

I would definitely LOVE a feature like that in the game! Of course nowadays one can rip or download tracks to his own device, but an in-game Sound Test menu tastes much more like 'retro' gaming. I remember in my teens I plugged a headphone jack on the very first Sega Megadrive model, so I could list...
