Re: Well...

I remember I bought a secondhand Xbox 360 a few years ago, with a view to having a single platform spanning the longest period of Rarewares to play (from the Arcade BK to Nuts & Bolts — I'm not interested in Kinect things). Too bad Playtonic will not release YL on this platform, since the Xbox O...

She was kidnapped by a giant stone golem and stood in for Berri in the Rock Solid Nightclub.

Re: List 'o Ideas

If Rare was able to display Sonic the Hedgehog's shoes in Donkey Kong Country 2, I think an ice key or a jigsaw piece will not be too troublesome to hide in Yooka-Laylee.

I give Playtonic guys my best wishes for the remaining days. Still, I'm so glad they were so many people that backed the project so far. Hope they shall not cancel their commitment.

Re: What do you want in a Ocean World?

I don't know what an underwater level would look like in this game, but I trust Dave Wise and Grant Kirkhope to compose a great theme for it.

Luigi, the fine job you did all that month confirmed my opinion that 2D artworks still rock on a day and age where 3D models have overwhelmed everything. Thanks!

I would love such a world as long as they take the music of the Four Seasons of Love concept album by Donna Summer.

Re: Why I believe Diddy Kong Racing was better than Mario 64

DKR may have been the better made game, but I remember having way more fun with Mario Kart 64. So have I, especially with the 4 Battle Mode arenas, which in my opinion are better than Icicle Pyramid or Darkwater Beach. I also enjoyed exploring the maps off-road in Mario Kart 64 using the R-button j...

Re: List 'o Ideas

Interactive music / SFX The same way it was in Rare platformers of the N64-era (and in the Boulder Canyon course in Diddy Kong Racing as well), I would like to listen to music that gradually fades to different styles to reflect the characters' location. And maybe they can make some sound effects to...

Re: Platforming challenges: Rusty Bucket Bays engine room

As a child I found this room difficult and frightening, but it was actually nothing compared with some areas in Conker's Bad Fur Day where you must avoid twirling fan blades through a drainpipe.

Re: Fan Art!

I guess they just picked the most popular characters and went with them, Conker and Banjo got lucky... I would love to see Crunch, Bumper, Timber, Pipsy, Tiptup, Drumstick and even T.T! in more games and see more character development there, but its all up to Rare sooooo.... yeahhhhh... There's als...

That yell is actually Banjo's, you can hear it when you fall even after the characters split up in Banjo-Tooie.

Re: References to other (Rare) games...

Very likely references won't be too much obvious, the same way Pokémon did with movie references when the hero is watching TV at home.
