Re: Exclusive games on consoles

Or by how many people say "I'm OK if the game is multiplatform, but at least I want it on my favorite system". I think this request is pretty expected. If you only own a PC, for example, you will probably want the game to be released on PC. You won't be able to play it otherwise. But I do...

Re: 3D Platformer(s) You Have Played Before

You've covered most of them, but I'll add Spyro, Croc, Gex and Rocket: Robot On Wheels.

And of course Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64, Conker's Bad Fur Day...

Re: Are There Any Others? Do You Have Any Good Ideas?

There's one being developed for Wii U by 'Coolboyman' on The RWP. It's in its very early days, but you'll find more information over there if you're interested.

Re: Absolutely Insane Plot Twists

I don't think Playtonic have mentioned anything about playing as other characters in the game. It is possible though, considering Tooie allowed you to play as Mumbo (as well as transformations). I think Playtonic said that in future games we will be able to play as NPC's from Ukulele -- any characte...

Re: Suggestion Reference List

This list would grow to impossible sizes if you chose to include every single suggestion. Some suggestions aren't popular with everybody -- I think over time we will see people suggesting the same things and will know which ideas are really popular with the majority of the fan base.

Re: Absolutely Insane Plot Twists

Oh yeah, I think I remember that happening...

I would like a little twist though; every story is better with a few surprises. Mingy Jongo's reveal in Tooie scared me to death when I was little -- and I loved it.

Re: What in the world are "Pagies"?

I think you guys are looking at Project Ukulele too literally. I don't think it has any connection to music; I think it's a joke on Banjo. The only thing I get from it is that it's an exotic Hawaiian-themed jungle, which is roughly what the screenshots we've seen look like.

Re: Spiritual Homages/Cameos ?

I think references are a given, but they will be obscure for legal reasons. Perhaps it will be as simple as the mention of a bear and bird in the dialogue, or something similar.

Re: Minigames

For sure. One thing I liked about the Banjo games was that there were 'mini-games' and 'bosses' scattered throughout the levels themselves. Mr Vile, The wasps in Click Clock Wood, Canary Mary etc. -- I'm sure things like this is certain to make a return. A specific mini-game mode/multiplayer mode, s...

They've already confirmed in the Rezzed presentation that there will be lots of secrets and cool things that may take us months or even years to find. :)

Re: Keep a tight rein on fan input

But no Kickstarter rewards where people get to demand things just because they have more money than others. More money does not equal better or even good ideas. Of course not, but the whole point of Kickstarter is to offer incentives to encourage people to donate as much as they can. It's not about...

Re: Forum Sections

I think we only need three forums. Project Ukulele Playtonic Games Everything Else Sub-forums aren't necessary as there aren't masses of members yet and not much to discuss. Members will probably start to recede in the coming days/weeks as things temporarily die down a little after the Rezzed presen...

Re: Banjo, Donkey, Ukulele, and our input in the future

I'm not sure what it is I want to see. I guess I'm hoping for a 're-skinned' and remastered Banjo-Kazooie, with richer environments and gameplay (and obviously a whole new cast of characters). Though as long as it contains the old Rare magic that these guys do best, I'll be happy with almost anything.

Re: Multiplayer?

http://forums.playtonicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=49 - Multiplayer briefly discussed here yesterday. I think multiplayer, even if it's just local and not online, would be a nice idea -- but probably best left as a last-minute addition. Focus on the main game first, then add multiplater/achiev...

Re: Let's be real: Give us Stop N' Swop.

https://youtu.be/8ulJeGQ0Krk?t=11m 11 minutes into the Rezzed presentation, Gavin Price (when talking about collectibles and secrets) said he will "Stop 'N' Swop" to the next slide. This pretty much confirms something similar will be included in the game -- but it probably won't be 6 eggs ...

I would definitely like to see some sort of quiz/twist at the end. I loved Furnace Fun in Kazooie.

Re: Speculation on the new "Gruntilda?"

Considering Playtonic started as Mingy Jongo, I keep thinking the villain will be some sort of shaman in disguise. A mysterious, shadowy figure that doesn't reveal his true self until the very end in a shocking twist.

I think having your name in the credits is a non-intrusive way that could inspire more people to donate. I'd be shocked if this doesn't turn out to be a Kickstarter reward.
