Re: Young Conker

Hopefully this game will turn out better than the last attempt Microsoft tried to revive the Conker IP, which bombed hard in sales and critical reception. Or shall I say, lack thereof. *Chuckle*. Well, look at Rare lately. They released a compilation of 30+ Rare games for the Xbox One, they made a ...

Re: A new 3D platformer kickstarter: FreezeME

OH! I haven't played the game. But I've seen a video of it.

Aside from the technical frame-rate hiccups that it has, the game runs more smoothly than I thought. It's more reminescent to Super Mario Galaxy in terms of environment. I don't know anything about its actual framerate.

Re: Young Conker

Interesting that on the big team picture for Rare's newly updated website, Conker's statue is there along with Banjo & Kazooie. https://www.rare.co.uk/?q=careers Considering Conker's relative lack of exposure (he's appeared in a cult game from 2001 which was remade in 2005, plus a Game Boy game...

Re: Young Conker

I'm noticing it as well.

But I hardly doubt is a triple-A game made from Rare. Although, from what I've seen in the scarce screenshots, it looked like it was published by Microsoft.

Re: A new 3D platformer kickstarter: FreezeME

Still, once it comes out, it can't hurt to try out the game on the Wii U (especially when Rainy Night Studios said that once it comes out in the first week, they'll be offering a discount price of $9.99; after that, it would be $13.99). People can't just judge the game because of some non-actual gam...

Unity for the New 3DS/Yooka-Laylee 3D

Well, it's official. After almost a year since its last announcement, Unity Tech finally releases the Unity Engine for the 3DS. Here's what it says in their official blog post : We announced our intention to support Nintendo’s recently released New Nintendo 3DS platform at Unite Tokyo and we’ve been...

BUMP! Well looks like this game will be coming out on February 2nd. If you buy the game for the Wii U on the first week, you'll receive a discount price of $9.99, because after that, the game'll be $13.99 after the first week. ( Source. ) My opinion(s): Looks like Rainy Night Creations is giving the...

Re: Which classic Rare world themes are 'essential'?

The last levels in BK and BT were always the most magical to me. CCW and CCL had their own unique charm. I hope we get an awesome and interesting final level, though I can't quite think of a specific theme other than 'awesome'. From the past artwork that we've seen (which include a winter island se...

What about CPU-GPU combination chips, like an AMD APU, or an Intel Sky Lake? Do PC's still rely on those?

Re: Will Yooka-Laylee be AMD compatible?

Yes. AMD and Intel processors use the same instruction set, ignoring a few exclusive features that rarely see the light of day. Yeah, but there are still some key differences to my knowledge: 1. AMD tends to be less powerful in performance than Intel... 2. ...yet, AMD consumes more energy than Inte...

Will Yooka-Laylee be AMD compatible?

I know what you guys are probably thinking, and that is that we still don't know what the minimum/recommended tech specs of the game will have. I ask this because it seems that nowadays, a lot of PC games seem to be relying too much on the Intel processor. Something that everyone should know is that...

Re: Toybox(++)

BUMP. Call me crazy, but I think I have the Toybox (++) demo release date figured out. The best possible release date for the demo is in February 10th, 2016, which marks the 1st Anniversary of the foundation of Playtonic Games. Of course, this is one of my thoughts. Didn't they found Playtonic in l...
