Re: Not very happy

I take the fact your response has no substance as an admission that I'm correct. After all, someone pointed out elsewhere the price complaints for the upgrade were inaccurate, and Andy himself responded directly to you. No other company does that. Clearly Playtonic is doing whatever is in their powe...

Re: Not very happy

Playtonic tells us far more than most Kickstarter companies do. There have been 27 updates since the completion of the project, and only 3 out of the 20 months since the KS ended didn't have an update. 3 non-consecutive months , by the way. They've been honest about every negative thing that's come ...

Re: As A Kickstarter

I've backed a LOT on Kickstarter. At least a dozen games, almost a dozen board games, a book, some tech projects, etc. Playtonic's communication frequency is par for the course. A few updates here, a few there. Their communication quality is top notch. Very few developers give you truthful, concise ...

Re: Another new 3D platformer appeared: Poi!

A few lifted ideas from various Mario universes really. Some of the level design reminds me of some Galaxy stages. Though the tightropes and hanging from the chain platforms are clearly Sunshine haha. I have to admit, it looks more interesting than most of the other garbage platformers that have cra...

Re: Not very happy

Someone needs to call the waaaambulance for Scrubber :) Maybe they can give him 200 IUs of perspective.

Andy's post seems to have covered it though. After ages of being spoiled by Playtonic, a little bit of silence seems like punishment I guess.

Steam easy. Including the above, it's the only platform with modding potential.

Re: Difficulty level in Yooka-Laylee

I honestly don't expect it to be very difficult. BK and BT are trivial now that I'm older, but I still enjoy the experience greatly. These games are fun to do the collecting, but the thing that'll bring you back over and over is really the quality of the universe built and the characters.

Re: Upgrade Price

Digital pre-order certainly SHOULD be cheaper, considering there's no box, no shipping, no manuals, and no disc.

Re: POLL: Language Translation

Korean would be my vote. But I'm not sure how useful it would be. I'm not sure Playtonic has a large Korean audience and I only pick it because I'm learning it.

Re: Expand or move on?

From the very first playthrough: 100% everything as it becomes available.

I've always done this with collectathons. Leaving a world that still has something in it without a mandatory reason (having to return to Freezeezy Peaks after getting the running shoes for example) is collectathon blasphemy!

If you look at the various rules pages, there's no requirement to do anything more than they've done.

Re: Making the Switch

If you invested your money, you wanted Yooka Laylee to begin with. I assume you wouldn't mind a Yooka Laylee 2 as well. So yep, still hurts you. Also, if you invest in a stock, and then the market crashes, sorry to say you don't get a refund. Think of Kickstarter the exact same way. You contribute t...

Re: Making the Switch

I'm going to post my comment I made on KS to the forums. It might help some people understand a bit better. I can understand the frustration and disappointment with the Wii U version being cancelled. But you have to bear in mind; you didn't BUY Yooka-Laylee. Kickstarter isn't a shop. You pledged mo...

Wouldn't be surprised to see Bloodstained and a bunch of other games jump ship too. AAA games at that.

The "Staff Only" areas look fantastic and novel, super agree there. Also ample opportunities to hide funny easter eggs there.

Well I sure had this one pegged backwards. In my defense I was assuming the WiiU could handle the game
