Re: Don't just delete spam. Prevent it.

Holy hell the forum got absolutely RUINED today. I think they DO have a spam filter because they've fixed this before. But these new accounts come looking almost like legitimate users, they're certainly more legit-looking than the last time we were regularly flooded. Looks like they'll need a more r...

Re: NINTENDO SWITCH

I got up at 4:45am on the 3rd to go stand in line. Was about ... 5-10 degrees F out? Anyway me and 5 others stood there until 7:20am when 20 other people showed up in a period of about 15 minutes. They opened at 8am, were sold out by 8:03. In the end, I could have showed up at 7:30 and still gotten ...

Re: Kewpie-Jazzy, a Yooka-Laylee inspired Kickstarter game.

I'm late to piling back on this crap heap, but that "Evolution" game they made a demo for is a huge rip off of Spore.

Edit: After reading that neogaf thread all I can say is WOW.

Re: Physical PC game

I'm assuming the DLC will be provided via download somehow. Maybe a patching wizard like how Windows handled ye olde service packs. Personally I'm keeping my physical PC version in the box. I got a steam key and the physical PC version specifically for that reason. Plus, my PC doesn't have a disk dr...

Re: WHY can't Playtonic Games explain why they can't announce a Switch date?

Daily reminder that the WiiU version was canceled because the hardware cannot handle the game. There would be no WiiU version even if they released something for WiiU, because a 10fps chugfest is not a game. The fact that some are alleging that PG is intentionally trying to scam some backers, or tha...

Re: Not very happy

There does seem to be a sentiment here that it's okay to argue and disagree about things, without developing malice Absolutely! EDIT: @Jinjo I recall your statement that the upgrade to physical should be free for backers. To clarify: this implies is that Playtonic should subsidize the production, m...

After having gone back and watched the entire video, the Capital Cashino level is actually pretty packed with things to do. Looks fantastic.

Re: Playtonic forgot about the fine-tune

Sorry to double post, but after having watched the whole video (I had previously watched the first few minutes) I really think there's quite a lot going on. It doesn't feel empty to me whatsoever, especially with all of the vertical action going on. The casino atmosphere is really authentic too. And...

Re: *SPOILERS* The argument FOR Capital Cashino

I think a lot of the concern about "emptiness" is people mis-remembering what BK and BT were actually like. Particularly BT. I'm not gonna copy/paste but here's the link: http://forums.playtonicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5024#p30351 Short version: BT had a ton of emptiness, the cont...

Re: Playtonic forgot about the fine-tune

I think people are remembering a bit incorrectly thanks to rose tint. BK/BT were not packed to every inch with stuff. They would feel cluttered. This is particularly true of Banjo Tooie, but it's not like the game had a lack of things to do. Large sections of Mayahem Temple, Witchyworld, Terrydactyl...

Re: REGARDING SPOILERS

With the release coming this really needs to be an official rule. If it were a different, generic gaming forum I might say "well don't go to the YL subforum!" But considering this entire site is YL and one version will be out late, people need to be very careful with spoilers.

Re: Not very happy

I think they enjoy game development, and I think the game is going to be well received, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them completely shut themselves in if they make another game.

Two years of silence, an announcement, two months later a game comes out.

Re: Playtonic forgot about the fine-tune

I don't want to see spoilers such as the transformation. I want to discover them myself. But on the other hand I want to see what your all talking about so I can give my opinion. The transformation is really awesome. If you want to be surprised, avoid the video. It's a good surprise. I think you'd ...

Re: Not very happy

I'm sorry to say this dotEXE, but first day backers have a right to whine, to be honest. Man, I backed in the first 5 minutes and I'm in this game for a hefty sum more than the $15-20 people are talking about. It's well beyond ridiculous at this point. Playtonic has told us absolutely everything th...

Re: Playtonic forgot about the fine-tune

The game has already gone gold. It's finalized. What's good and bad is left to be seen, but if that video is from the gold version it's final. There's just printing, pressing, packaging, and playing now.

On the bright side I think it looks pretty dang good.

No, the opposite. Shut the forums down XD

Who would want to promote a page where the top several non-sticky posts are complain-a-thons about their company?

We need to astroturf some happy stuff first!

Tired of this forum? Nobody is forcing you to be here. I'm amazed the irony of this statement didn't shatter the universe. I'm here to have a good time talking about a game we should all be GRATEFUL even has a chance to exist. We could be so lucky that Playtonic has decided to shoulder the burden o...
