Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

I'm assuming what they meant based on the context. The subject at hand was racial and cultural diversity. "Of all forms" means all forms of racial and cultural diversity. Do you believe that they meant to convey that they celebrate all ideologies, no matter how violent, hate-filled, or at...

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

I'm glad you know 100% that they went out of their way to put him in. I wonder if they did that with their other voice actors as well? Speaking of their other voice actors, I wonder if they hold the same viewpoints as Jon? I'm sure they don't care enough to find out since they aren't being pressure...

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

Now I think you are just looking for things to be mad about rather than just looking at the intentions behind everything that's happened.

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

What's the difference between Playtonic never collaborating with Jontron again and them not collaborating with him in the final version of Yooka-Laylee? The end result is just that Jontron's involvement is excluded from one extra game. It's not some huge political action, it's just them releasing a...

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

I'm sick and tired of people only speaking about the semantics of free speech over the actual principle of free speech. Stop trying to undermine people that are fully aware that Playtonic was within their right to remove Jontron, the free speech argument is based solely on the principle of the matt...

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

Am I the only one around here who doesn't give a turd about JonTron or his voice acting? There are more important matters surrounding YL atm, I think. I also couldn't give a crap about him voicing a character. Makes no difference. I DO however give a crap about ptg getting involved with politics. T...

Re: Jon Jafari (JonTron) and his role in Yooka-Laylee

Why are so many people interpreting this as anti-conservative or whatever? Jontron expressed blatantly racist and white supremecist views. Now, he pretty clearly did so out of ignorance rather than malice, but all the same he still said those things and Playtonic was just distancing themselves from ...

Re: In what game would you place these characters...

They should make a prequel spinoff about Clara. The game would begin with her as normal human, until she's thrown into a magic pot and has all her flesh burned off.

Re: Not very happy

I don't think backers want VIP treatment - else they would've already backed in the really high backer categories - they just don't want backburner treatment. That is, don't treat the non-backers better than the backers. Toyboxes on consoles? Not available to backers! Tough luck if you don't have a...

Re: Kameo: Elements of Power

I'd be happy either way. I'd love Kameo to continue but it'd also be really fun to see what Playtonic can come up with to continue Kameo's style of gameplay .

Re: KickStarter Wii-U Backer

I recommend saving up to get a Switch, just put a little aside each week until the end of the year. Yooka-Laylee and Super Mario Odyssey are going to make this the best holiday for 3D platformer fans in over a decade. And just imagine how cool it'll be to be able to play Yooka-Laylee wherever you wa...

Re: Nintendo Switch support for Yooka Laylee?

I think Playtonic's first priority right now should be fulfilling the promises of the Kickstarter. A Switch version can (and should) come later but right now I'd rather they not devote any time or resources toward it until they're done with the versions they're already making.

Re: Griff The Winged Lion "Kickstarter 3D Platformer"

I've definitely wanted a low poly callback to N64/PS1 styled platformers. I wouldn't say this was what I imagined, though, since I always imagined more of a parody/deconstruction of the genre rather than a game that plays it entirely straight. I'll still probably check it out regardless.

The only other guest character I really want is Banjo and Kazooie in the Xbox version or Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong in the Xbox version.

WyvernWings, holy crap, that method of yours is awesome. I've admittedly played through a lot of Nuts & Bolts on foot, but you've taken it to a whole new level. I need to try it your way some time!

New design looks awesome. The lack of chameleon features on the old one would've driven me mad eventually.

Re: Capital B

Capital B. kind of reminds me of Kingpin or Lex Luthor. I love that we're getting a more down to earth "businessman" type villain instead of something more fantasy-oriented. The whole corporate thing is a nice contrast with Yooka-Laylee's otherwise very fantastical world.
