Re: Gamecube controller support on Wii U?

I would love for the gamecube adapter to work with this game and as many other games as possible, but I'm pretty sure Iwata would send a team of Nintendo ninja assassins after any third party developer who tried to make their game compatible with it.

Re: Would you welcome a "Start work on second Playtonic game" stretch goal?

I'd rather they wait until completely finishing Yooka-Laylee before starting work on something else (they still don't even have a full N64 sized team yet). However, I would love it if one of the stretch goals was that they'd reveal the intended main character of their next game (who I assume is alre...

Yeah I really want that N64 cart but I'm not sure yet if I can afford to plunk down that much cash...we'll see.

Re: Will a goldfish tap the side of his bowl three times?

It looks like the kickstarter is gonna need to add some new stretch goals soon....who wouldn't dump tons of money towards a nameless goldfish who taps on his bowl three times?

Re: Why no boxed edition for console?

It's possible the game may get a physical release some day, as it has happened with other digital-only games that got really successful (Like Journey on PS3). However, TC, you really should consider getting over your aversion toward digital-only titles, not just for this game but for gaming in gener...

Re: Laylee's Big Red Nose

I agree with the sentiment that the nose could stand to be a bit smaller, mainly because it's hard for my brain to actually visualize it as a nose rather than as an ornament in the middle of Laylee's face.

It'd be neat if you could unlock a DK tie and a baseball cap with the Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong amiibos.

Re: ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL PLAYTONIC'S BIG REVEAL! GUYS...I DON'T KNOW IF I CAN LAST MUCH LONGER...

If you can't hold on, right, just go to the bathroom and offload your excitement there heh. But what if Project Ukulele comes home early and she's all riled up and in the mood, and you're all "but I thought you weren't coming home til tomorrow so I spent all night wanking and now my peter's al...

Re: Project Ukulele Console-Exclusives?

imagine your playing DK64, you love this game, you've spent 90+ hours collecting every last one of the 3,500 small bananas, 40 banana medals, and 200 golden bananas, except the last banana, the last banana is in another console. you would need to spend hundreds of dollars just to get the console an...

Re: Project Ukulele Console-Exclusives?

^Yeah I think that's the optimal way to do it. Every version could have its own partner duo (Banjo/Kazooie, Donkey/Diddy, Ratchet/Clank) who sends you on a mission that is identical save for the item you collect at the end (a Jiggy, a Golden Banana, or a Gold Bolt). Or, if they're only able to get p...

Re: Project Ukulele Console-Exclusives?

I'd honestly prefer to never get content I'd never know about than to never get content I do know other people could get just because they made the arbitrary decision to play on one platform over the other. I don't see how my steak and steak sauce analogy doesn't work. One table was preferred over ...

Re: Project Ukulele Console-Exclusives?

Why do some people hate it so much? Because then I have to buy the game 3+ times to experience all the content on release day . DLC is different, it's an expansion upon what's there (or at least the DLC I purchase is, full content expansions). I'm already planning on buying it twice, but if I had t...

Re: Project Ukulele Console-Exclusives?

I don't understand the concept of a "complete" game. Let's say a game is released with a fixed amount of content. No add-ons. No DLC. No console exclusive stuff. In other words, a "complete" game. Now let's say there is an alternate timeline in which that exact same game is relea...

Re: Project Ukulele Console-Exclusives?

Why do some people hate it so much? It takes nothing away from the base game since the console manufacturer would be paying extra to have that content. It's literally just extra content that you would not have at all otherwise, and you would not get anything in its place otherwise.
