Re: lives or no lives?

I'd prefer a option for both of them. Lives for some people willing to take a hit or two for their mistakes and no-lives for people just simply trying to complete the game as fast as possible without setbacks or interruptions. I'd play with like 1 life so that I can give myself a nice challenge. But...

Re: User Created Mods

I personally love mods and mods really just expand the life-span of the game tremendously as it keeps together a community live and coming in with new people. Mods strengthens communities, expand the life-span, add unique content not found in the vanilla version, and most importantly offers a learni...

Re: What did you think of Nuts and Bolts?

It isn't a true sequel, but it sure as hell is a true game being one of the most innovative games to really force you to put creation and thought into it. The game itself is good as you have to adapt to your jiggy missions by creating something fit for the task(s) or you can just build super-awesome...

Re: Speed Runner Friendly?

You don't need to remove this. The thing about Speedrunning is to find ways around these obstacles. For instance there is no known way to go around the 810 Note Door in Banjo-Kazooie. So if you want to do any% (Fastest Time you can get without using Cheats [Glitches are no Cheats]), you have to col...

Re: Spreading the Word

Is everybody spreading the word? How are you doing it? E.g talking, twitter, fb, etc. What are the reactions? I'm spreading the word by beheading those who pity retro era games in the name of my Playtonic faith. I'm also committing terrorist attacks at Sony and Microsoft headquarters as part of my ...

Re: Save Files - How many?

Honestly I never understood this whole save-file stuff. In Civilization 5 you could have as much save files as you want. Banjo Kazooie 3. GTA V about 15. I mean what's the point? Do people use savefiles like savestates?

Someone really needs to explain to me why so much save files matter.

Re: When do you think we'll next hear news?

No way we'll get information at E3. The kickstarter is where they really have to impress people and give them so many reasons. Kickstarter is truly a show-and-tell. You want to impress people as much as you can with never-before-seen content to appeal to large majorities so they're definitely going ...

Re: Speed Runner Friendly?

I'm strongly against making Project Ukulele speed running friendly in any way. The entire point of 3D collectathon platform games is to take your sweet ass time collecting every nook and cranny in the surrounding area, and exploration, not rushing into it. For to even make a game "speed runnin...

Currently playing on a Russian Typing Site http://klavogonki.ru/. I know there's other typing sites and such, but I like to keep my typing sites very diverse and different for learning experiences.

Re: Age of fans?

Hey Playtonic fans! I was wondering today whether the fans on this forums are mostly people who played n64 Rare games in their teenage years, pre-teen years, or are newer fans of older games. So post your age here is you're comfortable with that! Maybe also say when you got into Rare games (or when...

I loved that small FPS Style egg shooting multiplayer. Also choose the smallest character. Never pick grunty unless you want to seriously make yourself that big of a hitbox.

Re: The 'What Do You Do' Thread!

I do nothing. To be honest everything colleges and universities teach you is all here on the internet and I've learned at a insanely faster pace compared to the way schools teach and they don't even teach you all the information and skip important events in history like the genocide of native americ...

Re: Speed Runner Friendly?

This really does add replay value. I myself who practice insanely on trying to get the fastest time possible on stuff and just love competition would enjoy something like this. This really gives people something to master and just really shows people that they can say "I'm the best and these pu...

Re: Mirrored Hard Mode!

Most of the worlds are pretty circular. It works well in games like Mario Kart, but maybe something different like more instant death and more platforming and less flying spots or something? And even more harder to get notes.

I'm all for a harder version that adds challenge.

Re: What platform(s) do you want to see Project Ukulele on?

Definitely on the Xbox one. I'm tired of Last Gen!!!!! And even more, 3D platformers better achieved on consoles!!! LET'S GO ON PS4 and XBOX ONE!!! WiiU/3DS/Vita are part of gen 7? So DS/PSP/Wii were part of PS2/Xbox era? O.o No. The last 3 generations were comprised of Gen 8: Wii U, 3DS, Vita, Xbo...

Re: So, it gets on Wii U. Which controller?

I'd say focus A LOT on the other controllers and optimize it for Classic Controller Pro, Pro Controller, etc. We all played on the N64 with a controller, not an iPad type controller. I'm absolutely against touch screen and everything that it stands for. It's not practical and causes smears and requi...
