Re: What's the perfect balance of collectables?

I mostly agree to most of the posts in this thread, but I want to add that I really liked the collectables that were only present in a certain level - like the Captain Blubber's gold in Treasure Trove Cove, the money coins in Jolly Roger's Lagoon or even something like the food in Witchyworld! What...

Re: Voice acting?

There's nothing more charming than Banjo's mumble words sped up when you hold A. They need to keep the gibberish, and they definitely need to keep the character heads mouthing the words with a speed up function.

Character design?

Anyone else not digging a few bits of whats been revealed? Take a look at the edge article: http://imgur.com/a/ThVwy Stylistically, the design on the silhouettes look like they're coming from the usual saturday cartoon (although they're just silhouettes for now so I'll reserve some judgement). The m...

Re: Gruntilda's Lair equivalent?

The way they described the design of the hub world was excellent. They know that routes need to open up with progression and unlocked moves. So I'm hyped on the design side of things. The screenshot made it seem a bit plain, however. Not a fan of the blue and green lighting, and it lacks the atmosph...

Re: JonTron in Project Ukelele

I heard his voice cameo in A Hat in Time and it felt too amateurish for me to like. I don't dislike Jon. He's a character that's great for youtube entertainment, but I haven't seen anything to convince me that he's a good voice actor. But didn't they confirm classic amazing gibberish speak? If there...

Re: Expandable worlds

could you imagine if in banjo kazooie after you left mumbo's mountain you could add to the portrait with more jiggies and the world gets bigger with more characters and jiggies in it? this is a very interesting new mechanic that's going to be in project ukulele. It does add to the replay value of t...

Re: Replay Value -- Ideas?

I gotta say, the idea of a Chao Garden-like mechanic sounds great in pretty much any game. Only thing I wouldn't like is if, say, it promoted grinding for materials from fallen enemies or something. Which it kinda did in Sonic Adventure 2, but it fit that style of game more because you were speedrun...

Re: Things that you DO NOT want in this game.

Not a one single bad-decent water level. I really didn't like the swimming parts of Clanker's Caverns as they were just monotonous and tedious with no real satisfying value to it. Jolly Roger's lagoon looked nice, but just cupcake that water level's tedious stuff. I hate Jolly Roger's water gamepla...

Re: Things that you DO NOT want in this game.

Two things I hope not to see in this game are: 1. Generic world themes, like "fireland", "iceland", "waterland", etc. 2. Scary worlds. As a kid I really disliked this in games (and I still do). Levels like the ghosthouse in Mario 64 (that piano... brr..), the redeads i...

Re: Nintendo Fans, Lets Show Them Our Nostalgia! WiiU/3DS+Am

Definitely no 3DS. It can get its own sequel or ukelele spinoff later, but right now the focus should be on taking advantage of modern hardware. I'd like a Wii U port, but if the hardware isn't there for the envisioned ideas, then I'd rather it make use of better hardware elsewhere (minus the Xbone)...

Re: Online Multiplayer?

Definitely agree with everyone that the single player experience should be emphasized as much as possible. The focus should be on exploring a world that is as mystic and mysterious as Banjo. Banjo (as well as a lot of rooms in Mario 64)is one of those games with that certain atmosphere that makes it...
