Re: If there were a Banjo Threeie, what new moves could the duo learn?

I dont even want to think about Banjo-Threeie ... for me Yooka-Laylee is the third installment of the series  Well I do. Before I die I want to see another Banjo-Kazooie game. And yooka laylee is not a replacement for me but an addition. Well ... I dont think one time there will be a Banjo-Kaz...

Re: Griff The Winged Lion "Kickstarter 3D Platformer"

But I think instead of copying other indie games like the most kickstarter projects it hast got his own style.
I know they try to capture the spirit of oldschool ps1 3d platformer but its the first indie game which do this.

Griff The Winged Lion "Kickstarter 3D Platformer"

Hey guys I found another good kickstarter 3d platformer.
I think this one is very interesting, very inspired by spyro crash bandicoot and other ps1 platformers.

Re: DK Elements

I've never played Donkey Kong 64, and only played Banjo Kazooie once. Is anything from DK64 being used in YL? I know it's a BK spiritual successor, but figured they might use positives from DK64 I might have missed. Or maybe these are being saved for a different game in the future... For now I can ...

Re: Crank The Weasel

Wondering how this could be revived - since Warner Bros swallowed up Midway after the latter went under, is the idea now owned by Warners? I can't tell you who ownes the rights but I waited about 13 years too see some gameplay from this piece of art and finaly one of the creative leads posted the e...

Re: E3 trailer by Playtonic

It just looks sooo great and I am so excited for Yooka-Laylee but some things are making me unsure. For example, for me the worlds seems to be big but not detailed, what I mean is they are to open and I dont saw any interiors or buildings which we could enter like in BK/BT DK64. Also the fact that t...

Crank The Weasel

https://www.unseen64.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/crank-title.jpg http://assets1.ignimgs.com/2002/05/24/crank1-401376.jpg I think its notable, that this game was inspired by Conker's Bad Fur Day but set in a crazy 1930 cartoony world, accompanied by swing and jazz music. The main character is a t...

I really hope he will be an important character for playtonic. Would love to see a game with him in future ... maybe a 2d platformer ? Who knows ? :D

Re: Five worlds for Yooka-Laylee, and my concern about them

I think 5 worlds are too less in comparison with DK64, Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie or even Mario 64 (15 worlds). I know the worlds in Mario 64 are not as much filled with characters, minigames and all those collectables as Banjo Kazooie but still, its a very small amount of worlds for Yooka-Laylee and i...

Re: Which classic Rare world themes are 'essential'?

Crash Bandicoot have egypt worlds, spyro have egypt worlds, mario 64 and so on. I want to see something new and that is what I really enjoyed with banjo-kazooie, tooie each world was different and felt like its own little universe and even the gex series created their own unique themes like a world ...

Re: Which classic Rare world themes are 'essential'?

In my opinion they should make new themes, because everything they do will still have this magic touch from rare so it would be much better if they would do some new themes but still with some things from the past, a rundown b-movie cinema or a rundown hotel instead of a industrial building or ancie...

Re: Should Playtonic only make platformering games?

I think it would be cool if they would do the same route like Nintendo with all their franchises or like the old Rareware. They should do all those genius genres again.

Re: Donkey Kong 64 - collectables vs. your opinion (please vote and discuss)

I really enjoyed DK 64, one of my favorite games of all time and I think the idea is not bad with those different colored bananas to collect but in some cases you dont even know anymore where you have some of them left. It is just too much of backtracking but still its a great game. Those collectabl...

Insects

In my opinion there are to less insect based characters in the video game world, so I thought Playtonic should introduce some more characters which are insects with the opportunity to become a major role in a future Playtonic game. The only main insect characters in other video games are Buck Bumble...

Re: Banjo-Kazooie or Banjo-Tooie?

I really loved to collect every single note (of 100) in banjo kazooie instead of collecting nests with 5. This reduced the amount of collectables in tooie and was not so good in my opinion, but sure no game should have sooo much collectables like dk64, this was really too much, still a great game th...
