Re: Most favorite world from BK and Tooie, and most wanted themed world in Project Ukulele?

In Banjo-Kazooie : Click Clock Wood because it was a really special world and I really loved to climb up the giant tree in four different ways. But the thing which I really loved was the feeling of the world. In Banjo-Tooie : Witchyworld because I was a world which is fun to explore and feels like y...

Re: About the worlds indoors/interiors

One of the things I really loved about Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64 and Conkers Bad Fur Day was those indoors/interiors ... they made the worlds more accessible, vivid and organic. For example the igloo in Freezezy Peak or Hailfire Peaks (Iceside) ... a whole polar bear family live there with furni...

Re: A Good Idea For Playtonic Games Next Game...

We're getting a new Conker game, albeit it's episodic and releasing in another game, but that doesn't lessen its credibility. Yeah. But something tells me that this kind of Conker game won't be the same as the original, or its (original) XBOX remake. I still preffer that Playtonic Games should crea...

Re: A Good Idea For Playtonic Games Next Game...

It would be nice to see a collaboration with Playtonic Games and Christopher Seavor(Gory Detail) which was the creative head and literally Conker himself behind Conkers Bad Fur Day to make a spiritual successor to CBFD. They could even include some beta elements which sadly not managed in to the fin...

Re: Save Files - How many?

I loved the main menues in Banjo-Kazooie, Tooie and in Conkers Bad Fur Day, they should do that with Project Ukulele again. Also even the GBA titles Sabre Wulf and Mr. Pants had very funny main menues and the most rare games had secret gimmicks in the main menue.

Re: World Theming

In another thread I suggested 10 worlds, 1 tutorial area, 1 hub and 1 finale area like Furnace of Fun 1. Jungle Falls , as shown in the pictures it will be jungle themed with weird islands and waterfalls. Expansions can lead to more watery parts or deep into jungle ruins. 2. Western level . I can't...

Re: Online Multiplayer?

I think a multiplayer mode is also one of those things which have to do with this rareware magic, I mean most of the rareware games have a multiplayer mode which was allways very funny to play. For example Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64 and Jet Force Gemini...

Re: My 3d Platformer: Project Cog

The project was inspired by the previously dropped spiritual successor that the ex-Rareware employees were making. Even though that project has resurfaced, I still plan to develop this project because I love the 3D collect-a-thon games that I grew up with. Besides, different kinds of 3D platformers...

Re: World Theming

Some people were talking before about cliche level themes versus more "creative" level themes, and an idea was proposed about a New Orleans-inspired voodoo level in place of your typical graveyard/mansion/church combo. What's funny about this idea is that "unique" is the new &qu...

Re: World Theming

I love horror themed levels, so would like one to be in Project Ukulele, since it's only fitting that it would be in the game just like the good old Rareware games. As for an idea how it would look. Well, I would propose a giant graveyard with a huge cathedral set in the middle of it. I think its t...

Re: Random Ideas (Characters/Levels/Challenges/Etc.)

-Zelda-like games: something like what Rare originally intended with their dinosaur game -A 2D or 2 and a half D platformer inpired by the Donkey Kong Country games. An art stlye like Ori or the new Rayman games would be fantastic for this. -Another 3D platormer, butt less Banjo-inspired, maybe tak...

Re: World Theming

I really like the idea of the B-Movie themed world. I think it'd be funny if it was an 80s style cinema you start in, with a really ugly carpet, and classic arcade machines (that could be linked to Pagies). The main music in that Hub area would be in the style of a cheesy 80s New Wave styled song m...

Dessert desert? Sounds a bit like the second world from New Super Mario Bros. U http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/mario/images/b/bc/Layercakedesert.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120918152347&path-prefix=de Never played that game, so maybe the desert idea isn't the best... I'll brainstrom some othe...

EGX Presentation Silhouettes

One of the silhouettes which was shown at the live presentation really looks like Link from Legend Of Zelda. It would be really cool if Playtonic Games would make a game like Legend Of Zelda because in my opinion its a genre which is also rare nowadays. I remember the last game I played which was li...

Re: Random Ideas (Characters/Levels/Challenges/Etc.)

A fairytale world, would be cool too. How do you imagine how this world suggestions could be built-in in to the game ? Do you think the developers read that or do you think we need to make a new topic about worlds which are really wished to be in the game via kickstarter ? Obviously there's a lot o...

Re: letters should be the equivalent to notes

I think the whole abc letters would be too various it should be something consistent. Maybe the greek letter pi which have some similarity with the Banjo-Kazooie note. To open Pi-portals which working like the notedoors in bk. http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/banjokazooie/images/9/9b/MusicalNoteN...

Re: Random Ideas (Characters/Levels/Challenges/Etc.)

Fairytale Level A level that takes inspiration from various fairytale books. It would be split in two halves by a long river: a 'happy' side and an 'spooky' side. Imagine a cliché sunny area and a dark, shadowy area with dead, leafless trees and such. The dark side could be home to a big bad wolf, ...
