Re: cancelled rare games re-imagined?

I'd be willing to put a few quid on most of the concepts at Rare having never made it to the public eye. Game concepts are often kept off the table till their time comes round for the 'just in case' scenario, which is coincidentally where Playtonic falls into. :P I'd imagine that we'll be seeing all...

Re: cheat Codes?

How about a random mode code, where upon entering it, saving is disabled for the session but a completely random selection of cheats are applied to weird (and possibly wonderful) effect. Big head washing machine anyone? O.O

I'd completely forgotten that game existed! :P No scooby so I'll have to pass on this.

Re: Banjo Kazooie & Nintendo

It's quite possible that Microsoft will see the excitement surrounding Playtonic's game (should it become the success I'm certain it will) and consider putting Rare to work on more Banjo/Conker games, but given that most of the talent which helped make those games has left Rare it seems rather unli...

Re: Invulnerability? Is it still relevant?

If you had infinite health in this game that'd be pretty disappointing. A little off-topic, but I agree with this. I didn't like Nuts & Bolts' health bar -- not the design, or the way you can never actually die (what's the point of the health bar?). I want to see a return of the old-style, expa...

Re: How much will YOU pledge?

Thinking about it, and the fact I'll have changed job by then. I should be able to donate around £200 - £500.

To put that in dollrs so it seems like more; $300 - $750 :3

I have absolutely no idea but in effort to narrow it down, is it from Nuts & Bolts?

Re: What are you playing now and what do you think about it?

Currently playing Resogun. It's the first game I got for my PS4 and its as addictive as it is frustrating. Essentially a variation of asteroids with a graphics overhaul its a fun way to burn through an hour or so. Any longer and I want to lob it out the window! Also, I've been playing a bit of Desti...

Re: So, it gets on Wii U. Which controllers

I'd say the Gamepad, GameCube and pro controllers would all be great. An alternate scheme for the wiimot r with nunchuck might be possible but it's probably not that high on the list of desirable controllers anyway. A wii compatible N64 controller would be nice as a throwback but money is definitely...

Re: The main characters need a cool home.

Maybe they're not at home when the game starts, what if they're somewhere else entirely? :P

They could be on holiday somewhere completely alien to whatever species they are, or they could just be at the shops when the game starts. (unlikely but you never know!)

Re: Kart Racer Mini-Game?

Hmm, I didn't really get that impression. I thought they wanted a traditional 3D platformer. If you look at the Banjo games, they had mini-games all over the levels. It wasn't just jumping and collecting; there was quite a bit of variation and it filled the games with interesting challenges. With t...

Re: Kart Racer Mini-Game?

I believe Playtonic mentioned in their presentation that they were looking to keep away from the spin off genres (especially karting for now) to get back to their roots. I doubt they'll be wanting to go near a racing game atm especially with the material it would give them in avoiding it :P Wouldn't...

That was a pretty good listen, however after 20 minutes it sort of descends into fanboy rabble about the wii U. The points early on are pretty decent though. :)

Re: Online Multiplayer?

I think I'd be pretty happy with pretty much any implementation of multiplayer that could possibly be used.

The only way I wouldn't be so keen is if it were mandatory to achieve 100% completion of the game. :D

Re: GameXPlain Project Ukulele discussion

Listening to it as I browse, and there's some good points essentially revolving around the theme of not getting too far ahead of themselves regarding other projects, and focusing on getting the game out on platforms before expanding out. That's in opposition to Mighty No.9 which seems to have gone d...
