Re: Genders have NOT been revealed

I wonder if we really did have the genders of the characters wrong all along. Personally, I'm fine with whatever genders they've chosen for Yooka and Laylee. What ever happens, though, some of the reactions will definitely be the best parts. The genders have been known since the kick starter began,...

Re: Suggestion: Make Yooka Female

I'm honestly surprised by how many topics I see by people who want Yooka to be a girl. Thanks, internet.

Anyway, the gender of the characters shouldn't matter. If Yooka is a manly man now, chances are he'll stay one.

Re: Jim Sterling interviews Playtonic!

Laylee has had to endure teasing her whole bat-life about the substantiality and colour of her nose and used to be very touchy about it. Being called ‘Rudolph’ and constantly asked if she was ‘doing it for charity’ used to upset her. Now she is very proud of her nose; it’s what makes her different ...

Re: DLC discussion

I'm a bit surprised by the confirmation of DLC in this game, but I guess it was to be expected. Anyway, DLC is fine as long as it adds substance to the game and adds to the longevity. Taylor mentioned the Mario Kart 8 DLC which is a perfect example of DLC done right: it adds to the life of the game ...

Re: Trowzer: The Bottlesss of Yooka-Laylee!

From the description on the website, I'm getting a Money Bags vibe from this guy: He'll help you progress, but it won't be free. I like it! Also really digging his design.

Translyvanian? Like a vampire or something? Because no.

Re: About any more stretch goals

I'm glad to see that Playtonic is being so responsible about this. Nobody wants another Double Fine situation; that was a real disappointment for the backers. Still is. Thanks for agreeing with me. The big-mouthed idiots of this forum (like what you have in every forum) should keep their bad opinion...

Re: Proper voices as a stretch goal

Nah. It's the spiritual successor to Banjo-Tooie; I doubt they want to add in spoken dialogue. Not even Nuts and Bolts had spoken dialogue. If we're lucky, Yooka-Laylee won't be their only franchise; leave it for a future title.

Re: Favorite Rare "Crap Past the Radar Moments"

Didn't Ganondorf have red blood at the end of OOT? Yes, and it was replaced by green blood in a later build of the game. Looks like he's vomiting now. http://s3.amazonaws.com/zeldaspeedruns/app/public/system/images/19/original/OoT%20blood%20change.jpg?1397769625 Interesting to know. I only ever pla...

Re: Favorite Rare "Crap Past the Radar Moments"

From Banjo-Tooie, the Lord Woo Fak Fak boss battle. The first time I fought him and used the grenade eggs on his boils, blood came out! As a kid, I was a little shocked by it. I never thought you could have actual, flowing blood in an E-rated game.

Re: Why Playtonic can't do amiibos

Because there would be amiibos being sold for $1,000 on Ebay by people who aren't Nintendo and just want the cash of desperate fans which will happen because Nintendo is notoriously bad at keeping most Amiibos in stock?

Re: replayable bosses/cutscenes?

I'd be surprised if they didn't put something like that in the game. Maybe an option to view cutscenes in the main and/or pause menu and an option to replay bosses in the game world so we can keep our current amount of health.
