Re: Fan Art!

Another oldie from around '99/2000 I believe. Also drawn with markers and a pinch of "PhotoImpact(!) MAGIC" 8-) for the fancy motion blur. Again done for RareNet back then. I think I should rescan this someday...the quality is still oldschool MedievalRes in all its glory :D. Despite only ...

Re: Microsoft apparently dedicating 2015 to celebrating Rare

While I'm sure we're all expecting Playtonic to be the revitalization of Rare. Part of me does hope that MS' Rare isn't completely dead. Maybe there could be some glimmer of hope?

Re: cancelled rare games re-imagined?

The most desired cancelled game I want to see getting revived next to Conker's Other Bad Day is Urchin. Oh, where to even begin? It was an game about a roughly 12-year old gothic female child. You would have a wild boar as a companion solving the game's various obstacles and puzzles. He was quite h...

Re: Invulnerability? Is it still relevant?

Eh I always think a super star or whatever equivalent is always a nice thing in a platformer. Is it needed? No of-course not, but it also gives you that boost of speed and the ability to not give a damn about anything for a brief few seconds making you feel like superman.

Re: What other games are you excited for?

Ummm it's hard to say what games I'm super excited for, there's one that I'm biased towards because my friend worked REALLY HARD ON IT and I've had a hand in some of it's development. Illuminacsii A roguelike FPS: Quirky Humor in an the ascii style. If you like Roguelikes or shooters this should be ...

Re: The 'What Do You Do' Thread!

I'm going to school for medicine! Right now I'm pre-med and it's really fun learning about things and getting to help people. I'm actually going to be starting up the Radiology program this May and it's kind of a scary thought. I just hope I don't suck at it! >.< Otherwise I have an associates in ge...

Re: What's the perfect balance of collectables?

I kind of like the idea of smaller levels just having less collectables and the larger ones having a bit more. As long as it's not completely front loaded. Tamashii7 brought up an interesting point that most of the notes in BK lead to you objectives and so collecting them was a more natural part of ...

Re: That one Rare title you hate?

Yeah I sort of doubt anyone really likes the Kintect. It was very much a gimmick that was forced onto the populus. It's strange how much of it is still being forced onto everyone. You'd think that Microsoft would have cut their losses and said let's just make a good console.

Yeah I guess you're right. It's a sort of good cop bad cop motif. It sort of works out for the best.

What even is Taboo the Sixth Sense? I guess at worse I can always emulate it. Sounds a bit like an adventure game though. Kings Quest style.

Re: What country are you lot from

I think everyone has that moment when they laugh at something like that, it's ironic humour And yes, we sure do, it's nice to see how many nationalities are interested :D Some might call it Dark Humor. Which I have in spades. Any of those ridiculous headlines of say a friend getting shot because he...

Re: What country are you lot from

I shouldn't laugh, but I did... kinda like yesterday when I went to a Uni open day, on the way home I saw that an Assisted Living Facility was right next door to a graveyard The local funeral home had a really unsuspecting name and now I forgot what it was. It's very much a "WHAT REALLY?!?&quo...

I'm from the You es of Eh! West coast = best coast. Though AZ is the worst state ever. There's nothing to do out here! Everything closes by 9pm XD Most places close here at around 7pm... not including pubs, clubs certain supermarkets and the cinema That sounds terrible! Actually there's very little...

Re: Exclusive games on consoles

Unfortunately, from a companies point of view, it can be risky for a new indie dev to release a game like this. If you aren't able to get sales to a certain expectation then it can be bad... I have no idea about how companies work though, so I am just saying what makes sense to me Not saying it isn...
