Re: Alternate names for the apparent "N64 Shader" mode

Believe me, those Mac platformers were really, really, REALLY bad. What do you think? I think we should just stick to the N64 shader mode. Also, why is this game coming out for Xbox when it was Microsoft that pretty much killed Rareware? Diversity? Besides, Yooka-Laylee is an indie title. The more ...

Re: Alternate names for the apparent "N64 Shader" mode

Something that I forgot to ask was that if the shaders that Playtonic is gonna put in the game are gonna be the same or from different styles? What do I mean by different styles? I mean that if the shaders are going to appear on all consoles (except for the Mac version*), which include Wii U, PlayS...

Re: Golf Spin Off Ideas

More useless drivel with no through put into it. Even if this was a full post, it should have been put in your other spinoff thread.

Re: Alternate names for the apparent "N64 Shader" mode

I like the idea of "Classic Mode", specifically mentioning 64-bit seems off to me since low poly would be more accurate. 90's mode isn't a bad alternative, though.

Re: Puzzle Spin Off

I've added it to my original post, changed the title and added a note saying that other spin off ideas will be included in separate threads. Now are you happy? other spin off ideas shall be included in separate threads. That's still spamming. A thread is a theme, not a showcase. If you come up with...

Re: Toybox(++)

I'm so excited for this. I can't believe it's going to be released within 2 months -- Playtonic sure know how to work quickly.* *Providing they actually reach their target. Don't worry, they wouldn't let us down- I love the 1995 Ultra 64 port of Killer Instinct as much as I love Kameo, the early Ga...

Re: Puzzle Spin Off

I don't think so. Each different type of spin-off requires a different thought approach. You're implying you put any thought into any of them instead of posting empty topics and telling us to come up with a discussion for you. I did put thought into this thread. If you want to hear one of MY ideas:...

Re: Puzzle Spin Off

Are you serious with all these identical threads? Put the "spin offs" in one thread no need for a seperate thread each. I don't think so. Each different type of spin-off requires a different thought approach. You're implying you put any thought into any of them instead of posting empty to...

Just because they don't post doesn't mean they don't read.

Re: Yooka-Laylee: Everything We Know (So Far)

I have a few problems with the 'What not to expect list'. For a start, how do you know Playtonic Games won't find a way to allow the player to play as Banjo and Kazooie. They are former Rare employees so Rare might be a bit generous and allow them to, I don't know, have a world in which you have to...

Maybe not as a difficulty setting for the main game, but I'd love a tucked away challenge a la Now Who's Boss?

Re: Not quite Playtonic, but Banjo N&B anyone?

It's usually just a vocal minority that speaks out against N&B. That's true I guess. Jontron did not help the game at all, then again nobody did, they all treated it the same way china treats girls, not what they were hoping for so they killed it off and ignored it. I always agreed with the Jon...

Re: Should Playtonic only make platformering games?

In the interest of stimulating discussion which has ceased for the last week, I argue that Playtonic should only make 3D platforming (and collectathon) games for the next few years. To help revive a genre, one stellar title will not be enough to encourage developers to invest their own time in the ...
