Re: What did you think of Nuts and Bolts?

Nuts and Bolts was an amazing spiritual successor to Toy Commander with a lego-like vehicle customization system that remains unmatched by any modern game today. The visuals topped anything to come on the system in the seven years after its launch, and the music consists of beautiful remixes of BK c...

Re: What are you playing now and what do you think about it?

If you haven't played the other StarFox games, Adventures shouldn't be much of an issue for you. A lot of people's dislike for the games comes from the fact that it's almost nothing like an actual StarFox game (barely any Arwing sections, less focus on Fox's team, no Star Wolf, etc). Star Wolf was ...

Re: Playtonic's "Marvel Universe"

That's really interesting input Hyle, I didn't know the islands were part of the same archipelago. Where is that confirmed/implied? Upon about a week of reflection, I've realized the thing that makes this more exciting than the DKverse. It's the fact that the developers of the system of games actua...

Re: What are you playing now and what do you think about it?

Honestly, I've... never played a Star Fox game in general. Heh. I was never very good with the flying. I guess that first question doesn't apply to me. I've also never played N&B. But I do love dungeon crawling adventure-y games. Hm. I will take that as a "put on my list of older games to ...

Re: What do you think will be the price of the game?

Nobody said $80. Go to your local game store or mass retailer and look at the shelf. $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60, $60. Some WiiU titles for $40. Yeah, because they're disc based. N64 games were $80. Your argu...

Re: What do you think will be the price of the game?

You guys DID play Rare's old games right? The ones done with, oh, less than 20 people that made the N64 be as amazing as it was? Literally the same team we're talking about guys. First off, this team is (so far) NOTABLY smaller than the team that worked on Banjo Kazooie. Second of all, it's not the...

Re: Conker’s Big Reunion coming to Project Spark April 23rd

Microsoft actually f---you -jontron sums up how i feel about because they have shown that they are simply unable to handle such a simple task to make ONE platforming banjo game in like 15years! but if they do, do a good banjo game? then good FINALLY! but it be bittersweet for me as i can't even get...

Re: What do you think will be the price of the game?

Ukulele would not sell at all at this price. Except their goal is to release on all platforms simultaneously. PC has "sucked it up" and paid $60 more than enough times, as a PC gamer myself. GTAV will be full price, Skyrim was the same price cross-platforms, Witcher III will be the same p...

Re: The "True" or "Good" Ending.

I like "extra content" endings, yes! I personally run through my game the first time mostly getting JUST enough to get through the game. The second time I play through, I don't even leave worlds without finishing it in its entirety (if possible). An extra scene would be just enough incent...

Re: Thoughts on DLC

I haven't read the whole thread (I can be lazy), so sorry if I'm repeating anything! Being a Nintendo owner almost exclusively, I really have very little experience with DLC. Actually, I've only ever bought it once, and that was for Mario Kart 8. For about $15 I basically got a quarter of an entire...

Re: Ratchet and Clank devs discuss fan input and feedback

I'm pretty sure that's a given. If they'd have listened to fans from the start KI2 would've had an even more convoluted combo system, Kameo would've been a rushed product, and we'd have had Banjo's face plastered over everything instead of getting Jetpac Refuelled and Viva Piñata.

Re: Thoughts on DLC

For the record, I think DLC is something the Playtonic guys would consider. I remember hearing rumours that they wanted DLC in Banjo-Kazooie on the Xbox; one idea was a giant termite bursting out of Ticker's Tower and starting a boss fight*. *I might have dreamt this... As far as I remember, that w...

Re: What are you playing now and what do you think about it?

I've never played Star Fox Adventures. I hear a lot of either really bad or really mixed feelings about it, but when I watch Lets Plays, it doesn't seem that bad. Maybe I'll give that a run? Turns out I don't have my Banjo Kazooie and Tooie cartridges anymore. May have gotten lost in the move. But ...

Re: Microsoft apparently dedicating 2015 to celebrating Rare

If that "tech demo" of Banjo and Kazooie flying with Kinect controls is any indicator of how they play to "celebrate" RARE, I'll puke in my shoes. I seriously just can't take it. Thankfully that appears to not be the case: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/03/16/banjo-kazooie-sxs...

Re: Favourite Rare XBOX title

Easily N&B for me. The unique art style made the game absolutely gorgeous, the BK remixes were amazing, the gameplay was an amazing spin on Toy Commander, the multiplayer was amazing, LLC was an amazing value (more than 10% of the game for less than 10% of the price) and to top it off the charac...

Re: Forum Suggestion - Hidden Popular Ideas?

Anyone who has frequented the comments of reddit will know that voters hop on a band wagon - once a post gets a dislike, so many people are prone to be critical of the comment and be swayed by the opinion of others. That's why I'd rather have it be a hidden system. Over time, you'd find that the pe...

Re: Thoughts on DLC

I've never spent a dollar in my life, think LLC costs $10, think level pack DLC means entirely new game mechanics, don't understand analogies, think that if something works in every other genre on the planet of course it won't work in the other one, and have short term memory loss whenever anyone b...

We know we'll see the characters in action sometime in May. Worst case scenario we have to wait until then, and after waiting 15 years 2 months doesn't seem too bad.

Ukinojoe makes a ton of 90s gaming references in his videos. It's a funny coincidence, but all it means is that someone at Playtonic likes his videos.
