Re: Young Conker

If you pause the video 7 seconds in you'll find some concept art that looks much better than the 3D version displayed in the rest of the video... why didn't they try harder to make it resemble that? The forehead extended above the eyes, both ears were visible from the front, the darker fur color was...

We don't know enough about it to know whether it'll even be able to run it. For all we know it could be a phone.

Re: List of true open-world 3D Jump 'n' Runs

I don't know if some of these Sonic games fall in your criteria-specific list: Sonic Adventure (Sega Dreamcast)/Sonic Adventure DX Director's Cut (GCN), Sonic Adventure 2 (Sega Dreamcast)/Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (GCN), Sonic Heroes (GCN, PS2, XBOX), Shadow the Hedgehog (PS2, GCN, XBOX) Sonic Unlea...

Re: List of true open-world 3D Jump 'n' Runs

And there are several Spyro the Dragon and Ratchet & Clank games out there, no idea if some of those qualify? Not sure about R&C, but of the three original Spyro games only the second one (Ripto's Rage) fits all of your criteria, neither of the others have learnable moves. Rayman 2: The Gre...

Anyway didn't you guys notice this? Like the first thing I noticed was that he stole the stache by Von Kaiser. http://i.imgur.com/9soDIQZ.png http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/sam-and-zac/images/6/6b/Von_Kaiser_Punch_Out_Wii.gif/revision/latest?cb=20150315214651 They both just look like stereotyp...

Re: Crash Bandicoot is coming back

I'll have to see the final product before getting even remotely excited. Crash relies on a very simple formula, so the quality of the game comes from the level design, not the core mechanics.

Re: Toybox(++)

Eeeeew n64 controller :P, haha. That thing certainly hasn't aged well in terms of functionality, but it did achieve helping people to understand the analog stick on a controller. The (far superior) "3D Controller" that came with Nights for the Saturn actually beat it by a month in NA and ...

Concern? What's happened here? Nothing. You chose to engage me in an argument. Still unclear what personal problems you have with me. Or is that a problem too? I suppose I didn't word myself well; I didn't mean to insult your choice, just draw similarities between the situations you've brought up a...

Re: Yooka-Laylee: Everything We Know (So Far)

Finish the core game first. Last thing I want is talks of spin-offs, sequels, and Amiibos long before the game is finished. Or delaying it 3 times... You do realize that Banjo Kazooie had a sequel in development, plushes and other merchandise in production, a spin-off appearance released , and at l...

Re: Unity for the New 3DS/Yooka-Laylee 3D

I don't see how that changes anything. PCs running Windows 98 won't be able to run PS4 games in the Unreal engine without major optimizations, and the 3DS won't be able to run Wii U games made in Unity without major optimizations.

Re: A new 3D platformer kickstarter: FreezeME

Still, once it comes out, it can't hurt to try out the game on the Wii U (especially when Rainy Night Studios said that once it comes out in the first week, they'll be offering a discount price of $9.99; after that, it would be $13.99). People can't just judge the game because of some non-actual ga...

I'll watch some gameplay and reviess once it comes out, if it's unique enough I might get it. Right now it doesn't stand out as anything special.

Surely you'd be better off asking Tim Schafer that? "Here's a video explaining something" "It doesn't have anything to do with what you're saying" "idk go ask Tim Schafer" I don't even know how to respond... I said that the video explains that Tim Schafer has past form...

Re: Psychonauts 2

Tim Schafer has past form with asking for ridiculous amounts and not keeping his promises. This video explains it well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFX0f_YUn1I It explains why it's risky to invest in it hoping for a return. I don't see what that has anything to do with how much is required to m...

Re: General Chat (& Random Thoughts)

Jeez, I'm getting disappointed all over again when I think of the possibilities for a real 3D Mario title on Wii U and what we've got instead  On the contrary, I'm glad we got a real 3D Mario game instead of what we got on the N64, GC, and Wii. Weird view on things, especially on a forum that...

Re: Regenerating health vs Collectable health

How many platformers have regenerating health? Mirror's Edge, Metroid Prime 2, Portal, Portal 2. All of those are part FPS, where it's more common. One of the benefits of collectible health is providing more gameplay options without adding more UI or keybinds by allowing players to say "I see ...
