This could be a good way of raising funds for future projects once Yooka-Laylee has finished:
A kickstarter for a second game would likely go down badly, but going to a major player with the offer of reviving an old IP or some such would go down better.
I'd like Playtonic to do something unrelated before doing another platformer - that way, they can use whatever experience/new characters from that new project in the second YL.
After that, I hope they have a thorough look at YL before starting on a sequel, to see what works and doesn't work.
I think it would be more interesting if they used the characters they create as actors, so the designs appear in other games but they could have vastly different roles and characterisations. So Yooka could show up, but is playing a totally different role/character. Hate that idea. One of the worst ...
