Re: Show the Kickstarter you want!

The KickStarter should be something similar to Mighty No. 9's KickStarter, for all I know. I'll rather not have it be similar like Mighty No. 9, but one thing is certain. With enough publicity on all major game sites announcing that the Kickstarter for Project Ukulele is up, and with JonTron making...

Re: World Theming

Dessert desert? Sounds a bit like the second world from New Super Mario Bros. U http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/mario/images/b/bc/Layercakedesert.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120918152347&path-prefix=de Never played that game, so maybe the desert idea isn't the best... I'll brainstrom some othe...

Re: World Theming

I think it would be cool to mix and match certain themes, here is an idea: A dessert desert! http://www.melinda3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/mannytrembley_dessertdesert_concept.jpg All the NPCs would have to be some sort of food related to desserts (fruits, sweets, etc), and boss of the world is...

Re: About the artstyle.

Reminds me of nutty acres a bit. Me too, but I just checked again: http://i.imgur.com/2UKpOw4.jpg Even here we see more variation in the field patched up. The floor is not just made of straight seperations, but it varies - also not just in texture but also in height with slopes, not just flat lands...

Re: Split-up Multiplayer? (Co-op)

I would prefer a multiplayer that doesn't split screen or control the camera (like mario galaxy), that said, I wouldn't mind this at all. at least is a positive co-op unlike the cut co-op in tooie. I probably wouldn't of used that. *cough* Wii U *cough* Seriously, there is a lot of untapped potenti...

Re: Do Microsoft deserve to sell Playtonic games?

I have a sneaky suspicion that Playtonic will not be on Microsoft for that long - Nintendo might snap the company up (especially if they do earn an amiibo stretch goal). Some of the Playtonic devs said they'd like to work with Nintendo again. So who knows, anything is possible. EDIT: And just to cl...

Re: A rare egg obsession?

You've come to the right place! Project Ukulele will be filled to the brim with secrets and easter eggs. The devs even said that they want to put in secrets that will take months or years to discover (although with the internet I doubt it'll last more than a few months). So expect a plethora of east...

Re: Do Microsoft deserve to sell Playtonic games?

I don't think that fans that only own a XB1 should be left out. The game should try to release on as many platforms as possible, so that more people can play it. Playtonic shouldn't exclude the XB1 just because of a possible feud with Microsoft (I don't even think they hate MS). It's all up to the d...

Re: How many levels or worlds...

I'm really not sure what you're saying. In my opinion, New Super Mario Bros. etc. are very linear -- you complete the stages one after the other. You can sometimes warp to another world or take a different route, but you can't skip over a stage if you don't like it. What I'm trying to ask is, how m...

Re: Possible leak of gameplay mechanic (Pagies)

This 'leak' is pretty exciting, now I understand what they meant by 'less linear'. I don't think we should worry about soft-locking, I'm sure the devs have figured out a way to prevent it. One idea would be having all the unlockable moves being sold in a store (for another kind of unlockable) and ne...

Re: Who wants Project Ukulele to be released on Xbox 360?

The game is being made on Unity, which Wii U supports quite well. It is powerful enough to handle the game. If another engine was being used you might have had a point, but as is this game won't make use of the 'extra' power the PS4 and XONE have. I can guarantee the game won't be dumbed down by th...

Re: Sub-Worlds

I think sub-worlds sound like they could be cool. Are there any other 3D platformers that have made good use of this concept? Mario Galaxy and Sunshine have a few mini-worlds here and there (but nothing too major, and they tend to stick with the theme of the level). Other than that there isn't real...

Re: Who wants Project Ukulele to be released on Xbox 360?

I think it would be great if it were on as many consoles as possible, so more people will be able to play it. However, personally I just want it on the PS4. for me the PS4 makes the most sense because it (along with the XBOX ONE) are the most powerful systems right now (not counting PC's) and Sony ...

Re: JonTron in Project Ukelele

Nope. Jontron is just a person who continually bashes Rare. He can just get out of the discussion for voice overs. No need to pander to a youtube hater whatsoever. I think that the devs should just make the game they want and leave the public out of it. He doesn't hate rare, on the contrary he is a...

Re: Random Ideas (Characters/Levels/Challenges/Etc.)

I'd like to see the return of Bottle's Revenge , it would work really well with the Wii U's asynchronous gameplay (the player controlling the ghost would use the gamepad while the other player could play normally on the tv). It would also be cool to have a full multiplayer mode based on this concept...

Re: Level-specific costumes

I think it would be cool having costumes in certain levels, such as a halloween costume for a haunted mansion level or an astronaut costume for a space level (I mean, the characters have to breath somehow). But I don't think every level needs a different costume (such as the jungle level, or a deser...
