Re: Kickstarter Date: May 1st!‏

I might mention that the email only says they're revealing "everything we've [...] been working on", and while I'm sure there's quite a lot of it, I doubt it will actually be *everything* that will ultimately comprise the game. The thing is that even though it's obviously not literally ev...

Re: Fan Art!

Sean, that's some absolutly amazing work! Wow, I can't wait to see it when it's finished! :D There's so much great fan art on this thread, it's really inspiring! I might draw some Banjo fan art soon, but meanwhile, here's a really good piece of Banjo-Kazooie fan art my friend Ian-the-Hedgehog has dr...

Re: Having The Two Together

Aw, now I really want the main character to be a kangaroo! ;~; Come to think of it, it'd make a lot of sense to have a kangaroo as the main character in a game where you're supposed to jump a lot! Has there ever been a platformer with a kangaroo for a protagonist? Kao the kangaroo and Kao the kanga...

Re: Having The Two Together

There are some games where getting hit while holding something makes you drop it. If Kazooie just say on Banjo's shoulder and took a hit, she would fly off. Having her in a bag meant she was there permantly, and I thought that was clever. Wonder what could be done in this game... If it will be a Ma...

Re: Question regarding World Size and connection between them.

I thought the huge worlds in Tooie were pretty fun to explore. If the problem was them being too "labyrinthine", maybe that world expansion mechanic will be a good way to cope with this problem, actually. For example, you'd start in a world with the same size as a world from the first Banj...

Re: Kickstarter Date: May 1st!‏

I was caught by surprise by the "we're gonna reveal everything" thing too! This is very exciting :D This is probably the first kickstarter project I'm going to back in my life. I'd never been so excited about a kickstarter before! Also, I'm particularly looking forward to listening to Gran...

Re: Phil Spencer says he has no problem with Banjo & Kazooie in Smash Bros as DLC

N&B directly mentions Diddy Kong for instance despite it being owned by Nintendo. Wait, really? Where? How? :O Because saying a name isn't against the law, nor will it ever be. I was just asking where in the game the reference shows up, sorry for the confusion. In L.O.G's little quiz show at th...

PC, for sure. Wii U, only if it's a physical release.

Re: Creative use of music and sounds?

Oh, I didn't know that tidbit about the bubbles in Rayman Legends! That's a pretty cool easter egg :D

As for gamepad usage, I'd personally prefer if Playtonic didn't focus on the gamepad for Project Ukelele. But I can see that working for an easter egg or two, yeah! :3

Re: RUMOUR: Disney want to make BANJO-KAZOOIE movie!

Well, I think Banjo-Kazooie would be actually a very good choice for a movie. It has a very wide cast of interesting and unique characters, many different regions and a kind of continuous story, so, as long as the studio was able to take advantage of all these assets and made an interesting new stor...

Re: Creative use of music and sounds?

Oh, it's awesome to know the theme variations have already been confirmed! :D I can't believe I forgot to mention the beatbox levels in Mario 3D World and Land! Those were another great example of creative use of music. I've seen your posts about remixes, and those were what inspired me to create th...

Creative use of music and sounds?

The thread title might be a bit confusing, but let me explain what I mean :P Something that I've come to really enjoy in video games is not only the soundtracks themselves, but when the developers make creative use of said soundtracks. Old Rare games had good examples of this, such as levels having ...

Re: Phil Spencer says he has no problem with Banjo & Kazooie in Smash Bros as DLC

That's a fair point. It's been a very long time, after all! But I think it's still a rather bad sign for Banjo. Now that I think about it, Banjo has appeared on a Nintendo platform after the Microsoft acquisition: in Grunty's Revenge, for the GBA. So, I guess we can... expect anything, after all, re...

Re: What system(s) would you like to see this on?

It'd be nice if the game was available on as many platforms as possible, but I'd buy a PC version. I'd actually love to play it on the Wii U, but it's too bad Nintendo doesn't store your digital games in a cloud like other platforms. Well, unless the game sees a physical release, in which case, I'd ...

Re: Donkey Kong 64 is coming to the Wii U VC!

Why do Nintendo not make any effort with their re releases? They just make an exact port, no graphics enhancements, no removing things people hated (Jetpac), no tweeks, no reworking to make it suit modern tvs etc Hardly! The 3DS rereleases of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were enhanced enormous...
