MIDI-Music-Option?

Hey guys! Since pretty much all of as belong to the nostalgic generation which played the best console (N64) with the best games (Rareware), I guess quite a few of you loved the inclusion of a 64-bit-shader-mode, which strips the graphics down to the level of games like Banjo-Kazooie & -Tooie. B...

Re: Organic vs Angular design

Agree. After Nuts & Bolts, I hope that they somehow aim for a world like in Banjo-Tooie. A world that looks like a real place that you wander through. It could look so great in HD! Although from what I've seen, everything looks amazing. When you're actually in the deep Jungle (in the first world...

Re: Yooka needs some clothes

Transformations are probably the most important aspect in this thread: How are they even showing that it's Yooka? He needs something! Keeping his face will just mess up all the transformations they come up with...

Re: Voice Mumbling

Thinking about it, the voice could be the sound the actual bat and chameleon but mumbled. no reason for a special type or a made up sound based on the appearance. Thou the appearance can have an interesting connection to the sound of the voice. I wouldn't make it purely natural, it should have some...

Re: Type of Humour

I loved the humor in Tooie. Much better than in Kazooie, in my opinion. That's because of its dark nature and that forth-wall-breaking!

Re: Fart bubble attacks...?

I hope Playtonic doesn't take this personally, but I think Potty humour is incredibly juvenile and even as a kid, I never liked it... one of the reasons I never picked up either of the Conker games... That said, if it is done with the correct amount of maturity, such as Kazooie's egg laying and Lan...

Re: Only 5 Worlds in the game?

But why not make several words instead & give them a unique name & unique music? They should limit every world to one musical theme that gets its variations. With more worlds, they can go for this variety. With only 5, what do we get, 5 themes? Or several for the same world? I'm a bit confu...

Re: Only 5 Worlds in the game?

While this is true, less worlds still leads to considerably less possibilities of theme variation. Even if by expanding worlds they have good variation within themes, having variation of themes themselves is also just as important. This is my biggest gripe with having so few levels, even if each of...

Re: Gamecube controller support on Wii U?

While having an option to play through the adapter would be nice I would also like classic controller support. Mainly because I have one shaped like a GameCube controller and it is near impossible to find an adapter. That's much more possible than the GameCube adapter support. This device is still ...

Re: Character design?

Don't get me wrong: I love the work they did so far! Especially Laylee looks awesome, but Yooka as well. But don't you think that something's missing? That it could be even better with some signature feature in his design? I lack imagination. Playtonic can try add some clothes, maybe a necklace or ...

Re: Character design?

With every day that passes, I love Yooka-Laylee's design even more. It takes some getting used to because they look so unique, but that's what's going to make them memorable and adored, trust me. If a child looked at Yooka & Laylee, they will instantly love it. Children don't have the same judg...

Re: Will a goldfish tap the side of his bowl three times?

It looks like the kickstarter is gonna need to add some new stretch goals soon....who wouldn't dump tons of money towards a nameless goldfish who taps on his bowl three times? Haha, I just came back to bump this thread saying the same thing! #3Taps4Ukulele ...#3Taps4YookaLaylee? Okay, you've got me...

I appreciate i'm being hyper-critical and i can get why others would like it, i'm just being honest though. There's something about them that lacks that proper killer 'mascot' feel, in m...

Re: Only 5 Worlds in the game?

Yeah, I would prefer more different themes worlds over less worlds with expansions. But I'd take more worlds (like around 9 worlds) with their expansions of course, if they run out of stretch goals ;)

I hope that they aim for a similar type of humor and wackie characters... and of course weird sounds effects! That's almost everything I need - aside great worlds & music, of course.

Re: Hear a bit of ingame Tune. Grant Kirkhope & David Wise

I'm not too sure what I was expecting from David Wise; was he going to imitate Kirkhope's style, or do something completely different etc. Now it's been answered. It sounds really catchy and upbeat! I like it. Kirkhope is still God of the 3D whimsical platformer, but I think I will really enjoy hav...

Re: Hear a bit of ingame Tune. Grant

I find it a shame what can be a great original game with its own massive fanbase is living under the shadow of Banjo Kazooie. I waited 15 years and didn't get anything close to Banjo-Tooie in this time. I'm absolutely fine to "just" see a re-skinned Banjo-Threeie (which is awesome enough)...

Alright guys, it seems like Playtonic listened: Playtonic is launching a Kickstarter for the project on May 1st, with all backers able to pick up the finished copy for £10/$15. There are also plans include extras like soundtracks, art books, and a special '64-bit' special edition , a callback to the...

Re: 60 fps

To play Banjo-Kazooie at 60 fps, do the following: 1. Download and install Project64 v2.1 2. Open the file "Project64.cht" in WordPad, (This is in the config folder of the project 64 directory. find the entry for the US version of Banjo-Kazooie, and add the line "Cheat18="Unlock...
