Re: Yooka-Laylee Guest-Starring in "Brawlout" (New Fighting Game)

Its lookin good. I might just get it for Yooka and Laylee. Even if its not as good as Smash, it still looks like a nice game. I just wish it had a single player campaign It apparently has one with some written dialogue. Of course, get it if it has the right value for you. For me, I'd rather save th...

Re: Yooka-Laylee Guest-Starring in "Brawlout" (New Fighting Game)

Interesting how it looks like they got ripped directly out of the original game and put into Brawlout. Heck, in the first seconds I thought they just put an animation .GIF of some Kickstarter update into the trailer. It's nice that they get featured, but being a big Smash fan, I know where I'll put ...

Re: Physical Nintendo Switch release by Limited Run Games!

Yeah, these physical Switch copies will certainly not spread as well when they're not getting produced for normal retailers as well. GameStop, Amazon, you name it. It can only be connected to some complications since Switch game cards are a different and more rarely produced medium (compared to Sony...

Re: Almost 6 months after the Switch version release...

I could be wrong and Playtonic actually do turn the game low-poly (though I doubt it as surely that would take a lot of time and then wouldn't they have to re-test for bugs?), but I'm thinking that Playtonic might have set themselves up for a lot of whinging in future by people who expected the gam...

Re: Playtonic have saved platform game to me

That's not true in the slightest... Super Mario Odyssey has been in production for years + it follows the same formula as SM64 and SMS, so nothing new for Nintendo. True that. Odyssey was in development right after Super Mario 3D World (2013; two years before the Kickstarter for Yooka-Laylee). I th...

Re: Physical Nintendo Switch release by Limited Run Games!

Way more than a month, I think... It's been over 2 months since they said soon. Im beginning to feel a very strong disliking (i won't say hate yet) towards playtonics use of the word soon. It's pretty much a lie. Agree. Their wording in the latest update definitely suggested that there’s “several n...

Re: Lessons Playtonic shouldn't learn from Yooka Laylee

I don't want Playtonic to learn hand-holding the player. I saw someone say that there should be marks on a map pointing towards where collectibles are - um, no thanks! :? What's the point of even playing an adventure collectathon if they're not even going to adventure and find things themselves?!? ...

Re: Funding the Next Game

Didn't know that it was bigger than Bayonetta, thanks for the info! Then they might be more comparable than I thought. Or at least, that Playtonic will have similar capacities at one point. I'm really wondering what's going on at their HQ...

Re: Funding the Next Game

According to VGchartz it sold 300k on Xbone and PS4 combined. I think if you add digital copies and Steam/Switch versions that's enough. Wonderful 101 (truly spectacular game) sold fewer copies and even that company keeps its head above water. Okay that doesn't sound too bad. But tbh, Platinum Game...

Re: Lessons Playtonic shouldn't learn from Yooka Laylee

That's a tough one, since Yooka has flaws and goodness in similar departments (for example the world layout / size: In world 2: way too big & empty, in world 5 pretty much perfect). Also, they should keep voice mumbling in my opinion, but work on the actual sounds. The pagie count is also good, ...

Re: E3 2018

I don't really think they'll travel to E3 and showcase stuff at the booths. But their current publisher Team17 will be there, so who knows: https://www.e3expo.com/participating-companies

Still, I guess they'll just send out a big update and trailer(s) by themselves.

Re: Is the DLC still happening?

When theres nothing to say other than complaining about PTG not communicating, nobody gains something from this. We know since the longest time that they're getting really quiet when working, so no, I don't see the contribution of complaining about this, other than staying in a repetitive loop. And ...

Re: DLC information question

Anything happening regarding this DLC, Playtonic? Yes something is happening, last time they mentioned the dlc ("extra content") was April 11. Just because they're not showing a trailer or screenshots doesn't mean they're not working on it every day. Yes, hands up, we’ve been a bit quiet ...

Re: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

It was one of the games that I absolutely loved on the original PlayStation. With Spyro, they really were the best platformers on that system and I’ll absolutely get the Switch port (since I never got a PS after that). Oh and this version might have an advantage: Loading times. Check out the Digital...

Good observation, Shan! I hope the DLC is heavily influenced by this kind of feedback.
