I'd love to see Dragon Quest V and VI, two of my favorite JRPGs next to Chrono Trigger. The SNES versions never got officially translated, though, so it's unlikely...
There were a few pagies where I actually needed help. I just asked my girlfriend to look at walkthroughs and give me hints instead of plain solutions. :) Glitterglaze Glacier: - The pagie inside a movable block of ice... I had the right idea of moving it to the ventilation grid. I didn't underst...
So far I'd say: Banjo-Kazooie > Yooka-Laylee > Banjo-Tooie > Donkey Kong 64 I'm 25 hours in, have seen all 5 worlds, expanded world 1 and 2 and I can honestly say (for me) it's the most fun 3D platforming experience since Banjo-Kazooie! I really like the idea of world expansion because it helped me ...
Also he says every now and again, a reptile once came through here before, he was obsessed with crystals, what's that a reference to? My first thought was Croc. It might be a little far-fetched but at least he collects crystals. ;) Croc: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/9c/Croc_Legend_of...
Am I the only one who didn't find this challenge that difficult? The slower you go, the easier it is. If your eye sight is on point, when your glow runs out, you can still faintly make out the platforms. I don't know... maybe I was too obsessed with reaching that pagie. The darkness wasn't a proble...
Guess you are right..., it's really mind numbing. This video sums up my struggle pretty well (it's not me): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiH2zsX72UU I especially HATE this segment: http://fs5.directupload.net/images/170412/ooepewpg.png (Sometimes when I'm rolling over the snow I can't even jump.....
I'm really loving the game so far! But wow..., there are some really tough spots, can't remember Banjo having such hard segments. I'm stuck in Gloomy Gem Grotto for more than an hour now... I'm too proud to just come back later and suck too bad to reach the end of it! :D I'm constantly cursing and s...
Since so many are complaining about DKR's controls... Did you use A+B+R to take tight turns? Or just A+R? (Or just A? ) Ever since I got used to A+B+R I haven't had any trouble.
I'm going to quote myself here. :D Well, I think it was marketed the wrong way. When they showed that teaser video everyone expected Banjo-Threeie, but then we got something very different. Imagine they would have marketed N&B as a fun little spin-off to bridge the waiting time for a true succes...
It won't be easy to capture the feeling of DKR and resist the urge to create a Mario Kart clone. It even happened to "old" Rare: Mickey's Speedway USA was a decent fun racer but ignored everything that made DKR great while copying a lot of Mario Kart's characteristics. But yeah, in theory ...
3D platformers aren't everybody's cup of tea, so I won't worry about critics being underwhelmed. I'm excited to hear what genre or even Banjo fans will say, though!
I think Tooie's graphics are incredible to this day (I even think Kazooie looks brilliant), but comparing the Tooie enemy with the Corplet Punisher , it's clear which one is aesthetically more pleasing. I think both look awesome but I really have a soft spot for blocky N64 graphics! ;) I'm excited ...
I don't know, I never felt at home in Tooie's levels as much as I did in Kazooie's. B-K was a lot more colorful and really inviting while Tooie had a grittier atmosphere. I also have to admit that I never finished Tooie... I restarted after Y-L was announced but for some reason I stopped playing aft...
Wow, it's so sad to see the shitstorm going on in social media when the game is so close to release... :/ People sure like to overreact! I mean..., when I read about Playtonic's decision I didn't appreciate it (I like Jontron, I enjoy his content and I think he did a lot to keep the "old Rare&q...
