Re: Should the Toy-Box be made available to all ks backers?

I also want to play the Toybox, but we both know that isn't going to happen (soon)... The Amiibo thingy, on the other hand, seems to be very possible (I think) + more people would like to have such an Amiibo! :) Quite the opposite. They claim they are looking into ways to get us the toybox. They de...

Kickstarter Pages Need Updating

If funded, Yooka-Laylee will be released for Windows, Mac, Linux, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Wii U. However, the exact release timing and scope of each version will be determined by the success of this Kickstarter campaign and specifically, our stretch goals. Still says the game is coming to Wii U...

Re: Toy box on PS4

You get the toybox straight away. To our knowledge the toybox is only for people who pre-order - it's their pre-order incentive. In fact, pre-orders are highly regarded such that people who funded the game through kickstarter may not ever get the toybox because they didn't initially fund high enough...

Re: Making the Switch

But it's more polish. And they get to take more time to really take advantage of the hardware. If they had been trying to hold back for the Wii U version, and realized they went too far, they can now go back and really make a game that pushes the limits on hardware for all systems. Wouldn't that be ...

Re: Making the Switch

Wow, this thread is wild. Can I make a Suggestion that I think will help heal these wounds a little quicker? It might sound silly, but why not release Yooka-Laylee on all platforms (INCLUDING SWITCH) at the same time? You might have to delay the game's release for that, but atleast then all of us l...

Re: Should the Toy-Box be made available to all ks backers?

The toybox should come to all platforms, including Wii U - else how will Switch backers get to enjoy the toybox?

Re: Making the Switch

Well here we go, a wall of text. I'll try to make this easy to read. Bare with me. The anger is completely justified, but I believe jumping to the conclusion that Playtonic intentionally deceived Wii U owners, calling them scammers and scumbags is very unreasonable. They were going to make Yooka La...

Re: Making the Switch

At the end of the day some people didn't get what they pledged for, so I COMPLETELY understand if people ask for refunds. Kickstarter funds are donations towards making an idea a reality. You pledged for a game to be made, and a game is still being made. I can't believe people don't understand this...

Re: Are you guys still gonna get the game?

I am not getting the game. But because I backed in partnership with my brother and he would like to get Switch, that particular backer pledge will switch to a Switch copy. I'm not sure when I'll get to play the game though. It will be good to know how good the codes are good for. If it can't be red...

Re: Making the Switch

It's a game. Whether you hit the power button on an XBox or a WiiU, the game is the same. Oh how I wish this was true. Then we'd have no Wii U cancellation. If those people who played the classic Rare games of the 90's really backed this game because of the nostalgia, it wouldn't matter to them whe...

Re: Toybox update

Not sure if it always had the configuration tool, but this quote from the Linux section of the Toybox FAQ seems to indicate that it was always there. "Please be aware that the game does not support integrated video cards such as Intel. Users with AMD graphics cards will need to run the applica...

Re: Making the Switch

This. It's a huge let down for indies to have no successful big titles so far on kickstarters and that will make it even harder for future kickstarters to generate money - a record setting kickstarter failed to deliver. You'd think a bunch of vets would have been able to lead by example. Out of cur...

Re: Nintendo support should we worry?

I'd be worried.

Who knows when the PS5 and XB∞ come out if they will support the Switch. "Technical difficulties" of Switch being only as powerful as a PS4 means Nintendo players don't get to play Playtonic games.

Re: Making the Switch

But what I'm most disappointed about though is that after the Mighty No. 9 debacle as well as other Kickstarter blunders, Yooka-Laylee looked like one of the few notable Kickstarter video games done right , the one that everyone would point to should one doubt the power of croudfunding. Sadly, that...

Re: Making the Switch

Serious question: is 4 months really not enough time to save up $200 for a console? A console that you can still get use out of? I'm legitimately perplexed by all the whining over this. It's not like any one person is specifically banned from ever playing this game. If there's a will, there's a way...

Re: Making the Switch

Let me know if anyone finds an XBONE or PS4 or a PC for under $60. Then we'd be talking. And that's a good point someone raised - if they're going to beef up the game to maximize use of the now lowest common denominators PS4/ONE (I don't know which is actually the lowest), then that means in no way ...

Re: Making the Switch

everyone Some people. With how poorly the WiiU did and the prevalence of computers in this day and age, likely "everyone" is a typo for "a small subset of people". No, they let everyone down on being able to release a game as a multiplatform. PC and PC and PC and PC are not diff...
