Re: Switching on the fly between characters anyone?

Banjo-Kazooie technically allowed you to switch on the fly as well, since you controlled Kazooie's when you used the Talon trot. It'd be a neat idea to use in this game too.

Re: Spiritual Successor to Donkey Kong Racing/Sabreman Stamp

It would be SO awesome if Playtonic decided to tackle this idea next! Donkey Kong Racing and Sabreman Stampede both looked amazing and had so much potential we never got to see realized. I'm imagining this gigantic racing/adventure game where you go around an expansive hub world catching and mountin...

Re: What other games are you excited for?

I'm really excited about the other indie 3D platformers coming out (particularly Lobodestroyo and A Hat in Time). And I'm also really excited for pretty much everything Nintendo has coming up (well, except Mario Party 10...I feel pretty lukewarm about that one). And also, Arkham Knight looks awesome...

Re: Type of Humour

I liked how Rare's humor on the N64 escalated to be more dry and more adult-themed as time went on. First you had Diddy Kong Racing, which was purely innocent, childish humor. Then you had Banjo-Kazooie, which added some irony and satire to the mix. Then you had Donkey Kong 64 which added some sexua...

Re: Let's be real: Give us Stop N' Swop.

In the same sort of vein as stop n' swap, it would be neat to have some kind of trophy room that spans multiple games, growing bigger and more full of cool things you've done with each game. I think the trophy room should be a physical room that you can directly access in every Playtonic game. Like...

Re: Should this game involve flight?

I feel that a chameleon adds much more depth to gameplay than a bear would, but a bird would be very hard to replace. So I'm really hoping on chameleon and bird. Or other animal that can fly. I kind of like the idea of the partner being an insect, since lizards eat insects and it would make for an ...

Re: Should this game involve flight?

That's true, flight should definitely be very limited if it's included. I think it makes for some very fun "dicking around", but I guess it does kinda trivialize the platforming segments in any place it's available.

Re: JonTron in Project Ukelele

I didn't think his voice in AHIT sounded that bad. At least not in the lines he has here:

Maybe he has other lines in a later part that are worse, but here he just sounds like a typical NPC voice.

Should this game involve flight?

One of the coolest parts of Banjo-Kazooie was finding a flight pad and flying around freely (I always loved the controls for flying in Banjo-Kazooie so much more than how it worked in Mario 64, maybe because of the flapping). Do you think that will return in Ukulele? Do you want it do?

Re: Nintendo should REALLY think about locking this project

I think a Nintendo/Playtonic partnership could be really beneficial down the line. It could give Playtonic access to a bigger budget to make bigger and better games with and it could allow their games to be fully advertised and given a physical retail release. And who wouldn't love a Playtonic helme...

Re: Temporary name of the protagonists

Well, "Ukulele" would be the logical nickname for the larger member of the duo (presumably the lizard), since it's an obvious parallel to "Banjo". But what should the smaller character be nicknamed? Since ukuleles are Hawaiian, how about we name him/her after a Hawaiian woodwind ...
