If they do make a 3DS exclusive game, I think it should be a 2D overhead adventure game like Conker's Pocket Tales or Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge. Or maybe give it 3D graphics like A Link Between Worlds while still having that classic overhead gameplay.

I wonder if any of the bosses will become playable characters in a future game. Maybe one of them could be a normal sized character who transforms into a giant monster, and his future game could involve the gameplay mechanic of transforming into a giant monster to destroy stuff.

I don't think it will be much of a gamble in this case, though. I can't imagine this game not getting huge amounts of support. Especially if a Wii U version is offered.

I think sub-worlds sound like they could be cool. Are there any other 3D platformers that have made good use of this concept?

As long as this is on Wii U and I can play it on the gamepad, that'll take care of my handheld Ukulele needs just fine.

That's what I thought of too. It seems like a closer comparison than Mario Party 2, since it's also a 3D platformer starring a lizard.
