Re: Yooka-Laylee: Everything We Know (So Far)

Looks like a new character and feature have been revealed or at least talked about. http://www.examiner.com/article/playtonic-games-de-linearizing-yooka-laylee-reveals-trouser-playtonics-linear Most of this is older news, but what really stood out to me is how they want to make the game un-linear, ...

Re: What do you want in a Ocean World?

I'm fine with almost anything as long as the swimming is as good or better than tooie, I loved the swimming in that game, it just feels fast and smooth and fluid. But I do agree that there needs to be some decent attacks under water. And I like the level to be about a quarter land and 3/4 in the wat...

Re: Jim Sterling interviews Playtonic!

Great interview, the only part that does concern me is that the worlds will start as kazooie sized worlds, that would be fine if I just knew how much you can expand a world. And in the end how many worlds we will get.

Re: Got an awesome idea

Why don't they just release a patch or the mapping tool a few months after the initial release date? That way everyone is happy.

Re: Only 5 Worlds in the game?

It's a vague 6 or above. They've raised a bunch of money, I'd expect them to go for the high end and put in around 8 worlds give or take. Thing is, it's no longer a matter of money now... It's a matter of time. It doesn't matter how much money they have, there are only so many hours in a day now......

Re: Got an awesome idea

I understand modding in shooting games or more sandbox ones like GTA or Minecraft. But why a 3D platformer? If people can design better levels or concepts, why not just make your own game? So you wouldnt want to play something like a mumbo's mountain in Yooka-Laylee, made by a player? Cause I can a...

Re: Got an awesome idea

Mods suck, Hard. You're not playing the game as intended anymore. It's like writing your own chapters into a book, it's obscenely arrogant. A level editor and story editor to create your own stories like SPORE Galactic Adventures did, would be awesome, but impractical given the context of this game...
