Guess the final Kickstarter total

Postby Jellyfunk » Sun Mar 15, 2015 3:59 am

I'm guessing $2.6 million.

(To clarify, this is the total funds raised, not the initial goal.)

I believe it could be in the millions. Depending on how fast word can spread about the company and what they're doing. I also believe they will get private investors who are still Rare kids at heart who want to help fund.

Well that's what I'm hoping for anyway. I'm hoping to donate a couple of thousand. I've been waiting 15 years for this.

If Mighty No 9 could get what? 4million? I'm going to assume that much if not more for Playtonic's stuff. I'd say Megaman is a bit more niche than everything that Rare has done and that's basically what I'm going off of.

I believe that more than what you've said, why? Because of what Enrel has said, mighty no 9 made 4 million, and I believe megaman is more niche, also that project had inafune but this one has an incredible team.

I think Playtonic want to get £5,000,000 in an ideal world. Years ago on their Mingy Jongo twitter, they suggested that figure. They may have been exaggerating though...

I'm going to guess £1,000,000. I would wish for more, but I'm not sure how big the fan interest truly is. I mean, it's big, but is it one million pounds big. :?

Seeing that a game as niche as got $3 million, and a similar idea for an spiritual successor named got $4 million. $4-5 million for Project Ukulele isn't a huge stretch of the imagination.

The double fine adventure kickstarter (Broken Age) ended up with about 3 million dollars. If word gets out to every kid who played banjo kazooie which i guess could be at least 3 million people and a 6th of them donate an average of $10 to the kickstarter then that's $500,000*$10 equals 5 Million Dollars. A rough estimate. What do you think?

I'm gonna lowball it here and say about 100 to 200 grand, that way when it does way better than that I'll be pleasantly surprised

The internet is fickle. Sometimes a blue and black dress takes the limelight, other times it's a bucket of ice water. Depending on the internet's mood, the Kickstarter might do fantastically well and become hyped up and super anticipated, or it might have a relatively quiet unveiling.

I'm hoping for the prior. Perhaps one trillion dollars.

Minimum 300,000 - Comparing to a Hat in Time
But I am guessing $1,500,000!
I hope they have a good teaser/ video for the kickstarter.
