Yeah, I went through all 5 pages of the NeoGAF thread that existed a bit ago. The reception is overall very positive I would say with a few scattered haters. Haters will always exist.

One common complaint I saw was that they don't have any clothes XD
I can kind of relate to that. I'm hoping they'll get a couple accessories by the time release rolls around.

Plus I have to wonder how many of those haters never even played Banjo Kazooie in the first place. I mean, people born in 1998 are 17 now ... so ... there's a good chance Banjo Kazooie was before a decent amount of them were born. I guess I don't know the main NeoGAF demographic.

I absolutely love everything I’ve seen so far:
- Great looking characters
- Fun gameplay and move-set
- Cool environments and level design
- Good graphics (incl. light / shadow effects)
- Funny details (sign with googly eyes, coins with logo)

Now, let’s have some awesome music and mumbling voices to go with it!

Wow, I love the design of the characters so much! :D They're both so cute! I agree with Rocho about the logo, though. It looks better without the eyes xP

I don't get the no clothes thing. Most Looney Tunes characters had no clothes at all yet we love them for their personalities.

Because of the close up animation at the beginning, Yooka's design is finally starting to grow on me (even though it's been just an hour or two..). Laylee is still nothing special, but I like how small the character is compared to Kazooie.

Don't know why I haven't asked this yet but what on earth is on the end of the bats nose ? Looks really out of place...
