I like Laylee's nose but I can see why it would look strange to some people. It seems usually people draw bats with flat, pointed (on the top) noses while Laylee's is very large and bulbous.

It's these quirks that people will remember the most. A generic bat design would soon be forgotten.

The more I look at them, the more I'm convinced that they are circus acrobats. It'll fit right into the storyline and explain the comical 'clown nose' and their amazing agility/moves, such as Laylee running on top of Yooka while he rolls around.

Banjo Kazooie was an incredible game, but if there was one thing that could've been improved, it was the fact that Banjo being a bear didn't really create many opportunities for unique moves. I feel like Playtonic outdid themselves with Yooka and Laylee. I literally can't think of a better animal duo to create tons of creative new moves! In IGN's reveal of the two characters, they mentioned that Yooka could use his/her tongue as a grappling hook. It sounds like the developers may have taken a page from Chameleon Twist. Yooka could climb walls and ceilings, shoot eggs like Kazooie, and turn invisible. Laylee could compliment Yooka's invisiblity by using sonar to locate enemies through walls, as well as fly. Perfect combination for some stealth gameplay thrown in!

Is that image with multiple Keith Minions chasing Yooka and Laylee real or fan art?

I agree that there's a lot of hype to be had about Yooka's potential moveset. I can't wait to see what we'll learn down the road. As for Yooka, I wonder what his ranged attack will be? Kazooie had eggs, and DK had his shooter. Sonar blasts?

I really hope that their relationship is as endearing as B+K's though. I'm getting the sense that Laylee is some sort of maniac in his idle animation and I don't know how to feel about it. All I can hope is that the dialogue quality is maintained.
