I wonder what they'll come up with next...

I also wonder at what point there won't really be anything left to offer. At the rate this is going, we're bound to hit that point sooner or later. There's only so much they can do before the scope of the project potentially gets too big, and I certainly don't want that to happen.

A Physical Retail Release would be the last stretch goal for Yooka-Laylee at about 3-5 million pounds. As for a publisher, Playtonic could publish their game with Deep Silver.

Then, after a retail release, they can put some things in there they plan on doing anyway, for instance "6 worlds guaranteed".

Wow, over £1,200,000 in just 3 days! This is really amazing :D I'm really curious to see if they'll come up with any new stretch goals. I can't really think of anything else at this point besides a physical release and online multiplayer.

Couldn't hope for better. This is what I've been wanting for since the beginning! Happy it's finally here. :D

Does the disclaimer mean that there won't be further stretch goals? Well, even if there aren't I'd be happy with what we already have. But some stuff like online for the multiplayer and other things people have been asking for could be very high value stretch goals.

I read it as them saying "the extra 300,000 pounds will not only give us the orchestra, but will go to general improving the game".

Hello!

I hace ideas for three stretch goals:

- Physical release for all platforms (Wii U for me! ;) )

- Speed running support (Maybe a "phantom uploading" thing community?)

- Second screen support/use for mini games or/and story missions... problem with this one is on PS and XBOX... but maybe there is a way around it?

I don't think physical console releases can happen if they don't have a publisher, so unfortunately, I wouldn't hold your breath for that for now ):

Also...I don't know how to feel about this orchestrated soundtrack stretch goal! Like it's exciting that there gets to be more time and effort put into the music, but part of what the N64 Rare platformers' music so dang good was the weird instrument and sound effect choices. I don't imagine an orchestra would use like, accordion or theremin or frog croaks. That stuff is so charming to me, and it's a lot of why I hold the B-K and B-T soundtracks in such high regard...orchestrated covers of that music tends to lose a bit of the quirky soul.

Maybe there's a compromise to be had, though? If Grant and David want to drag every weird instrument and noise-maker in their garages to the orchestra recordings, that might work. Maybe the game could have two versions of the soundtrack that you could switch between? Or maybe the orchestrated version would just be a bonus soundtrack not included in the game...

I dunno! Does anyone else feel apprehensive about this stretch goal? The more I think about it, the less I think I want an orchestrated soundtrack ):
