I went for the 90 tier (about $155 US after shipping) for Physical Deluxe plus Shirt about a week and a half ago. Had been debating which tier to go for ever since getting home and finding out about the Kickstarter during the afternoon (US time) on it's first day. But had to get my new computer paid off first, to make sure I still had enough to cover YL after.
When the game was first announced as Project Ukelele, I was thinking it was just something nice for fans of old Rare, but I wasn't super excited about it myself. I had missed out on most of Rare's best titles, as I was more into RPGs during the late SNES the whole N64 era and the 3D platformers I enjoyed the most tended to lean more towards linear than Rare (Mario Galaxy 1/2, Sonic Adventure 2, Ratchet and Clank series).
But as soon as I heard Grant's music I was sold. Even with only about 5hours combined between BK and BT (last played about a decade prior), it still felt very familiar/nostalgic. As for the cast, at first I thought Laylee's nose was too big, but she and her nose quickly grew on me by the end of the first night. The initial trailer was impressive for how short the game had been in development and the near 2million screenshots and the idle animation make me more excited.
And yes, I am now in the process of catching up on Rare's classics. Currently playing through DKC2 and BK with BT and DKC3 ready for after I finish these two. I already played through Battletoads [with warps but no cheats], DKC1, DKR, multiplayer Goldeneye, and decent part of Conker when I was younger.
