Gavin Price mentioned that he'd like to have a Yooka-Laylee Amiibo. Do you guys think it could happen as a stretch goal?

As much as I'd love to have a Yooka-Laylee amiibo for collectability (oh how the great collect-a-thons have groomed me), I'm really not a fan of the concept as it means that the Wii U will have exclusive features. Alternatively, the feature is standard on all other platforms, and the Wii U requires the Amiibo to access said feature. Either route isn't really desirable.

Or, instead of doing a real amiibo, you do just like skylanders and make it available on all platforms.

Not a fan of exclusive stretch goals. Because people will be putting their money towards something they can't use.

why not a commemorative mini statue like an amiibo minus the functionality?
Just a molded Yooka-Laylee figurine statue called a "playtoniee"?

Amiibos are lame anyway. How about real action figures that you can pose? Everyone will be able to enjoy those.

the game is going to be digital only right? I think distributing amiibos would be a bit complicated, mock up figures would be good though, as collectors items maybe. They could include something under them that the WiiU game could scan anyway, as long as it's non-important to the game and just part of the mock up.
