virtual reality stretch goals

Postby ninpc » Fri May 01, 2015 10:52 pm

will se see a vr stretch goal. at least for the pc possibly ps4. with say ability to have 120 fps 4k + resolution for future vr headsets that support such. of course at very min dual 1400p stereo at 90 fps will be needed for vr to work. occulus already has a platformer in works for vr, but you guys are the kings of the platformer and vr would be new and exciting

I really dislike VR. Its making gaming too immersive for me it crosses the line. Plus whats the point in VR if there isn't a first person mode? Its the same thing as looking at a screen.

I see the vr thing in the same light as Kinect. Its a new gimmick that's time has not yet come.
Of course, just my opinion.

VR is not something I particularly want. It'd be cool for a while, but in a gimmicky way.

I'd actually really like that. I'm not asking for it, but if it's there, I'll definitely use it when the Vive HTC gets released. Does Unity support it? I think Unreal 4 does, but I'm not sure about Unity.

Personally I'd just have a hard time getting out of the VR.
