I love that Playtonic are aware of the fanatical love for collectathons old Rare and B-K.
So much so that they are willing to risk their own livelihoods to bring many of us something we have desperately wanted for many years.

Thank you Playtonic. You are so much appreciated.

Well, I just love the fact that it... exists. It's been seven years since I got my hopes crushed with Nuts & Bolts, and seeing Yooka-Laylee come along is like filling a void that's been there that whole time.

It's kind of weird, it seems just like yesterday I was following along the development of Nuts & Bolts, feeling disappointed in the direction it was going. And now Yooka-Laylee comes along doing everything I wanted in 2008. I feel vindicated.

I love how much they are paying tribute to the past and nostalgi, yet still adding new ideas and innovations to make it original on its own merit.

My favourite part has to be the two main characters. Yooka is so cuuute. <3 :D

I also really enjoy how the two pieces of Jungle music fit these guys just perfect. :)

I love Yooka but go look at the vine where they're idle and looking around. Laylee has teeny tiny ULTRA CUTE feet.

I really appreciate absolutely everything about this game. People have mentioned most of the key points already.

Enemies when killed. I found this feature quite cool.

- Unique bosses in each level with awesome boss tunes from Grant Kirkhope, David Wise, and Steve Burke!

- A pre-final boss Quiz Show.

- GK Rap + Video in the ending credits.

- (Live) orchestral soundtrack.

- A mix of 2.5D and 3D Mine cart sections & not even limited to just mines either!

- A real passion project by Playtonic Games the resurrected Rareware.

- Exclusive character designs from ex-Rare guest artists Kev "Kong" Bayliss & Ed "Mumbo Jumbo" Bryan!

- Transformations into 'unexpected things' with unique controls & abilities.

- Charming (main) characters.

- A new 3D collectathon platformer game made by former Rareware developers!

I love the designs & animations of the characters. Especially Laylee is very cute! Then the visuals... that looks like an AAA quality Nintendo game! And the music (Grant's and David's tracks rock!) & the sound effects... I don't know what to write, because I feel like my hype overwhelms my ability to think of everything I like :lol: Oh, the stretch goals as well! Man, 8 modes in multiplayer, Co-Op, transformations, the quiz-show, minecart sections, ORCHESTRAL soundtrack (missed out on Nuts & Bolts, due to the game & now having a XBOX 360), boss battles, N64 shader mode & most importantly: Day One release on EVERY platform!

With all this stuff, this game will easily top the scope of Banjo-Tooie! It just has everything I'd want out of a spiritual Banjo-Threeie! And it's happening, for real. Can't believe it's actually happening :lol:

And this is why you always keep MANY MANY COPIES of important work.
In college I kept all my papers:

* Local copy
* Emailed copy
* Dropbox copy
* Jump drive copy
* External hard-drive copy

And none of my papers were obviously close to this scope or worth over $2,000,000 USD.

Playtonic, make some backups. Off-site. It's just smart.
