Idle Animations

Postby lebowski » Fri May 15, 2015 10:29 pm

Please add some idle animations to Yooka-Laylee. I know this isn't very important from a gameplay perspective but its a nice detail in my opinion. No need to add as many as in conkers bad fur day, a handful would be nice though.

I loved those as a kid allthough I didn't get the masturbation joke at 1:52 until much later :D

Conker probably had the most elaborate ones, but DK64 also had some great variety.
I hope they build on that, I think Banjo just had Kazooie pecking his head, right?

The fact that you might not notice it just shows how well-done it is!

Something that would be a nice touch to add in Yooka-Laylee, is that there are unique idle animations that only occur when in a specific themed world. For example: In the snow world, Yooka and Laylee would shivering because of the cold.

Laylee starts picking her nose for several seconds, then gets noticed and swatted by an annoyed Yooka, which causes her to yelp in a high-pitched squeak!

One of the idle animations should be Yooka playing with an oddly familiar bear and bird doll. :D

Yooka starts absent-mindedly scratching his crotch, then freaks-out because he can't find his ****. Laylee snickers at the folly of it all.

Yooka and Laylee make silly faces at each other ending with Yooka winning a tongue sticking out contest for obvious reasons.
