The Jimquisition: When Publishers Kick, Developers Start

Jim Sterling talks about Yooka-Laylee, as well as Koji Igarashi's "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night", and how we've reached an age of "re-animators", creative developers doing what they do best and giving us things that the AAA gaming scene keeps telling us we don't want anymore:

Thank God for Jim!

Bleh, this guy seems way too full of himself. ;)

There are plenty of obscure games I used to play that I know would never find success again.

We should just be glad that certain ways exist to continue franchises people loved.

If game publishers don't get their act together, Jim Sterling is probably right: the best games you could buy will be crowdsourced on kickstarter.

Heck I too want Kojima to ask for crowdsource funding for the Silent Hills game that Konami unwisely canceled, renamed of course.

Goemon's Great Adventure for the N64 is my favorite game ever.

When does a kickstarter for that start?
