I don't see the problem with having music that feels like it belonged to the B-K serie. After all, Yooka-Laylee is a spiritual successor made by the people that made Banjo-Kazooie so it's a given some features will be similar. The music is one, I really like the Jungle World theme and yes it sounds like it belongs in a B-K title but that is good to me, the style Grant Kirkhope developped for these game is unique and one of my favorite, I think it's been missing for too long and pretty glad it will make a comeback in Yooka-Laylee. I guess maybe I should remove my nostalgia goggles but... it's how I feel about it.
Also, don't forget David Wise is also making the music, so there will be his style as well.

From this interview with Andy and Grant, https://youtu.be/aA2WrY_t0yE Grant said:
"I tried to compress every Banjo-Kazooie-ism into one piece of music [Jungle World], to invoke everyone's nostalgia feels for the whole thing, but it won't all be like that. It'll be familiar but not a rip-off [of Banjo-Kazooie]."

When I first heard Jungle World, I felt happy that we could have new music with the famous Banjo-Kazooie spirit. But all things considered, I don't actually want an OST with hundreds of cues that only sounds that way. Beware of reaching a pathogenic level of nostalgia.

I heard more of the fire side of Hailfire Peaks in Jungle World than Freezeezy. Like the marimba part is almost note for note from what I remember at certain places.

Am I the only one very excited to hear his new music? While I love his banjo music for both games I feel like having that exact same kind of sound would be too much. Hearing him try something new to fit this new game has got me very excited and I can't wait to hear how he's going to arrange it and show he's not just going off banjo music.

Not a whole lot of news in this one, but it's a nice write up from Red Bull!
