What you want to see

Postby Minnamiteitekure » Sat Mar 14, 2015 4:29 pm

Since the kickstarter is coming in May, we can use this time to talk about what we want to see from the game! Personally, I'd love to see this on the Wii U (and PS4 and XBox One), I'm pretty sure that the game will work well on them!

I think the consoles are pretty much a given, but it'd be interesting to see a 3DS version.

A 3DS version would be pretty cool, it might end up being a New 3DS exclusive depending on how much is in the game.

It's got to be on Wii U. If it's not on Wii U, I will have lost all faith in gaming.

I want to see a lot of secrets and easter eggs. DKC series had great easter eggs.

I think it'd be great to see Project ukulele on the PC, since that's such a long-lasting and widespread platform for it to be on.

i would like to play the game on PS4 , but if the game is a multiplatform then hell yeah :)

and i hope the game will respect the old skool philosophy (no Handholding , no Dumbed down gameplay , no waypoints , no checkpoints , no autosave , give us a save point when we finish the boss level , no regenhealth , collect-a-thon , and a challenging game , because it is pathetic seeing today's games treating us like complete idiots  :x
can't wait for Yooka Laylee (PS4) :geek: :D

What do I want to see? Where do we start!

Game Elements:
- Hub World! One major home / hub world that connects all the other segmented worlds/area
- Interconnectivity!!
- Nothing was more exciting than finding a secret passage from one area to another to get that hidden Jinjo that you just couldn't reach before. Especially when this path didn't require going back to the hub.
- Secrets hidden in plain sight - and not accessible without the move you learn later in the game
- Massive vertical terrains to climb up. Makes for awesome views and a great sense of accomplishment.
- Ability to unlock / achieve to fly around these massive expanses
- Fun / cute mini-games.
- Not an absolute requirement, but it certainly added a lot of charm to the BK and DK games. I'd lean more towards the BK style games as there was so much variety and increasing challenge as the game went on. With the Donkey Kong games, they were fun, but they got a bit repetitive / impossible at times as the game went on
- A cast of odd and lovable characters throughout the entire journey
- an awesome arsenal of learnable moves throughout the course of the game to make you feel beefy and powerful
- Collectibles!!
Even more important - collectibles that mean something. Something to use them towards such a unlocking levels, secrets, abilities, or helping the local NPC's for added items / unlockables. Powering up abilities works well too.

Backer Rewards:
- N64 Retro cartridge and box art
- Voice acting possibilities, or getting to help name an NPC
- Alpha / Beta Access if that is something you guys are interested in
- Physical / retail copy of the game, especially for consoles if feasible

Console preference:
- WiiU is #1 for me
- PS4 is next. great big audience available there too
- PC is good too, but not my cup of tea
- 3DS or Vita if it's applicable / scalable, but I'd worry about losing too much graphically and play-ability when trying to downsize to the handhelds

I want to see:

-Spicy quirky jokes and content (more like Banjo Tooie and ConkerBFD)
-100 collectibles (not so much like DK64 those were too many)
-Amazing graphics
-An emotive story
-Great controls and gameplay
-Motion controls for aiming and flying

A stop 'n swop esq secrets thing that actually works.

In fact put loads of secrets that aren't required to beat the game. Maybe they can unlock worlds in the second Ukulele.

I'd be happy to play this on the 3DS or Wii U.

Although it might be a bit tough legality wise, a level called Rareworld like Nuts 'n' Bolts' banjoland. A silly idea but it'd be fun to do challenges based on old rare franchises and would be a cool nod to the past games everyone loves. Who knows, maybe microsoft will feel nice one day.
